This offense goes to the SB with that 49ers defense so heck yeah. It also is way over the cap, but whatever.

TBH, all I'd like is a couple of their stud DE's like Bosa and Thomas.

Weird question.

No. The 49ers have the better defense. I would not trade the Hawks defense for theirs. I think the Hawks defense synergizes with the offense better than the 49ers defense. Teams are already afraid to run the ball on us. Reed's return and Ziggy + Clowney rounding into form will make the defense a match up nightmare that dictates where the offense attacks them. I don't see that with the 49ers defense even though they are better.

Florida and loving GOP country!
Nope! I believe in this unit, and it showed yesterday. People have to realize that PC has a philosophy of bend don’t break, and although it is hard on us fans, it works!

What? Kamara had 69 yards rushing, and needed a ton of broken tackles to get there. Chubb got almost half of his yards on one misread from Lano; he averaged 3.5ypc on his remaining 19 carries.

If you look at running plays (by running backs) teams run less on Seattle than any other team besides the Patriots, and that seems skewed because half of the Patriots games have been blowouts. Add Reed to this defensive line and our run defense only gets better.

The reason why the NFL has parity is the firm salary cap. The 49ers can afford five superstars on the defensive line with all of the rookie contracts for the moment - but that party is ending soon.

Arik Armstead is coming up this off-season along with key role players in other areas like Breida, Celek, Verrett and Ward. DeForest Buckner and Solomon Thomas are hitting free agency the following off-season, along with Sherman, McKinnon, Kittle, Coleman and Williams.

How the 49ers cope with the next two off-seasons will determine whether they stay a legitimate rival or were just a temporary speed bump created by high draft picks from abysmal teams.

Except do to the personalities we would implode. This is Wilson's team, Sherman will not put up with that at all and as such will attempt to divide the locker room.

Just as points of clarification on how dire you're making this out to be.

Here's the ten players you listed:

1) Verrett has played two snaps total. He got called for PI on the first one and gave up a TD on the second one. How does that make him a key role player?
2) Celek has played zero snaps this year. How does that make him a key role player?
3) McKinnon has played zero snaps this year. How does that make him a key role player?
4) Everyone agrees that Thomas is so far an absolute bust. He's a rotational backup. He's a role player but it would be news to all 9ers fans that he's a key one.
5) Breida is a restricted free agent. If they want to keep him he's not someone they have to pay for another two years, meaning in 2021.
6) Coleman has two years left on his deal. If they want to keep him they need to resign him for 2021.
7) Kittle has two years left on his deal. They need to resign him for 2021.
8) Williams has two years left on his deal. If they want to resign him -- which is a big if -- they need to do so for 2021.
9) Sherman has two years left on his deal. If they want to resign him, which is pretty unlikely, they need to do so for 2021.
10) Agreed about Armstead. He's a key role player they'll either need to resign or let walk this off-season.
11) Ward has been playing well for the last two weeks, but he has only been starting in 33% of games across his five year career. He's not hard to resign.

Basically in the next two years everyone agrees they're going to be resigning and extending Kittle and Buckner. Everyone also agrees they have more than enough money to do that.

I think you can look at who ANY TEAM has signed three years down the line and argue that they have some role players and some good players they'll either need to resign or let walk.

For instance, the Seahawks have 26 players total signed through 2021 compared to the 9ers 30.

As a 9ers fans there's a ton of things I'm uncertain about and worried about, but this one is VERY, VERY, VERY low on my list.

Absolutely I would, and if you don't agree you haven't been paying attention.

Other than Wagner, there's no player on the Hawk's defense that's an upgrade over any player on the Niners D. They remind me of us in 2012, young, fast and nasty.

And cheap.

49ers have hit on a few first rounders, which is where we must improve.

It’s going to be so awesome to watch RW against this defense. I expect both games to come down to final possessions.

I would trade D lines but they can shove liar / loudmouth Richard Sherman up their ass as far as I'm concerned.

Also I would trade Wagner for nobody except possibly Donald and that would be just to save Russ.

Now....like was mentioned.....STOP the friggen whiner worship for Christ's sake, they are 1/2 game ahead...that's it!! :177692:
