Why trade for Wilson when we could draft JJ McCarthy? And not have to make a trade?

Wilson would be OK to take a flyer on if the cost is "Free"; he might still have upside. Yes, lock up your moms, but at least he's not going around knocking up random women before he gets a bag. Wilson actually had a good game or two, and he's still a young kid. He could turn out to be 2026's Baker Mayfield redemption story.

BUT, I wouldn't see the point this year for Seattle to pick him up. Would rather re-sign Drew Lock.

Not sure why someone's trash hits the market that an argument is made for the Seahawks to pick them up and somehow they will be good....

Didn't say he would be good because the Hawks get him. Is it really a gamble to give up a 6th or 7th round pick for someone that's has NFL experience? It's a nominal expense at best considering most 6th or 7th round guys don't make teams. This team has gaping holes and few draft picks. He's 24 and went to an organization that kills first round QB's. I don't automatically think he's bad because he was bad on a bad organization. Even drafting a QB in the first has it's negatives since this team needs so many pieces. So if you can trade for a young QB on one of these rosters or bring one in through FA, you can get ahead. If they believed in Locke they would declare an open competition or give him the job, tbh.

if it's all the Jets fault and not Wilson's how come their offence looked better with an old Joe Flacco and journeyman Mike White than with Wilson in 2022?

Bringing in Sam Adkins out of retirement is a better option.

Sure!

I’d love to see him here starting for another team.

Like raw meat for the wild carnivores.
