Far from the worst coaching I've ever seen. But can someone splain to me why you throw the ball from the 9yd line with 1:09 to play? :09 for sure, but not 1:09. Surprise? The Niners were not surprised, but I sure was. So, apparently, was Darnold. Fumble can NOT happen in that situation. Ball security is the #1 thing. Always.

I'm fine with a throw in that spot. Abe Lucas just got beat at the wrong time. I'm probably more pissed Bosa wasn't doubled. The last drive was probably our best though so hard to complain about anything out then the result.

Totally agree. We were out coached and trick plays are embarrassing even when they work.

As was said elsewhere, why did we abandon the run in the 2nd half?

Also, Why wasn't Walker benched? He was a negative play machine today. At least when Charbonnet was stopped, he fell forward.

Defense was great today. They were on the field 38 minutes and still only gave up 17 points. If Woolen hadn't lost focus on that final drive we may have won.

With a few exceptions our defense today was completely uninspired. Flatter than pancakes. Not fast, not strong. Definitely did not out physical anyone. They made some good stands in the red zone but were helpless in the field at large.

Was that 2nd down or 3rd down? I thought Darnold should have gotten the ball out quicker. It felt like more than 3 seconds.
