This whole team is a mess and isn't playing up to it's potential. Tackling, lack of discipline, poor preparation (10 dudes on the field in a punting situation?). It's a fekin' joke.

If only there was like...say...someone responsible for the overall preparation, planning, and direction of the team. Like a big picture kind of job, someone who sets the tone and identity. It could even be an official, paid position.

I'd prefer this route over the standing philosophy of "The team just needs to execute better and hope the opponent doesn't execute quite as well."

Meanwhile, while you were using Devon Witherspoon with our pick, we had to scrape the bottom of the barrel with undrafted Jaquan McMillan. Man, how are we going to win games with this guy as our number 2 CB????

Damn, when's the last time you got laid or had a decent paycheck?
That's not a nice question to ask an unemployed virgin.

That's OK, though. He's used to crying in Mom's basement. Let him smile for a while.

Our dB room has definitely taken a step back. None of them can seem to tackle accept for witherspoon.
Just wait. Next year Witherspoon will magically suck. That's the Seahawk way. They take a player from stardom to suckdom.

he was so damn good last year too, not sure what's happened to him
He got around lazy bitches like Diggs, knows he can play and start even if he doesn’t give it 100%

Is it possible he's still recovering from that injury? Makes me wonder if he's playing tentative, afraid to get re-injured, ala Adams.
That is probably one factor.

Another is he has been "coached up the Seahawks way". They have him playing to his weaknesses and away from his strengths.

I could make a loooooong list of players who regressed here. The list of players who improved is very small.

This whole "Seahawks develop great players" meme is bullshit.

I been holding back, but I'm thinking lately:

Woolen = Woolite

I didn't want to go that far, but rigjht now he's a boy playing a man's game. I don't know what's going on, if it's the coaching, or the D as a whole is regressing, but my dog has got to step up!

Sorry Riq, that's how I'm seeing it right now. And I bought your jersey last year after Game 8 dog! I want to believe, but it ain't there right now.

Yikes by these posters in here. Calling him a "bitch" and "soft" and worthless is funny.

Worthless? As opposed to someone sitting behind their keyboard who probably never played a down of sports in his life? Yeah, I'm sure he's "soft"

No, he won't at all. But maybe you're hoping he will so you can come on here and pump your chest out? How very 12 of you.

PFF has him ranked at #64 overall, which isn't horribly bad. He gets a very good grade for his coverage, but as everyone has surmised, he's heavily docked due to his run defense, ie tackling, and is ranked in the bottom 10% of all CB's in that category.

I'm not sure if good tackling can be taught at this point in a player's career. They're either good tacklers or they're not. What might end up happening is that he get utilized as a nickel or dime back as his coverage skills are still very good.

Bottom line is that even as he is, he's not "worthless" at this point in his career, but he might not earn a 2nd contract.

I suspect he isn’t 100% recovered from the shoulder surgery. Heck, it wouldn’t surprise me if he has something done in the offseason. He was willing to tackle last year, but this year he’s off. He’s not trash.
