You can only wear your alternate jersey twice a season. And yes the NFL is silly with this stuff.

I'm hoping the Seahawks filed a change of uniform color with the NFL and the wolf greys are our new normal light color. Screw white!

Yeah, the white jerseys and the grey pants look pretty good. Way better than our home unis.

I have been waiting for a 1980's throwback uniform for years now and it doesn't seem to be on the equipment staff/manager's agenda.

From what I read here at .NET earlier this year, it's actually not on Paul Allen's agenda. He's reportedly not a fan of alt jerseys, and throwbacks seem to be part of that.

Yeah, I asked Shannon the Sea Pimp, and he doesn't think we'll "sea" the 80's-90's retro any time soon.

Throwbacks count as alternate third jersey. Since we already have a 3rd jersey, we can't have a new one without league exemption. We're locked into our current scheme for 3 additional seasons following this current season. They only really grant exemptions for team anniversaries. Even if they did, they want us wearing the same helmets as a matter of safety, so you wouldn't see the silver helmets making throwbacks pretty pointless.

GB wore throwbacks two weeks ago, but with their normal yellow helmets with the decals removed.

We can't wear the wolf grays anymore this season.

You can wear alternates as much as you want in the playoffs though (except SB).

I hope they do a color combo. Maybe grey jersey and blue pants?

Doesn't matter what color/combination uniform is worn tonight, it will still be the "away" uniform.

I heard from my next-door-neighbor's daughter's boyfriend's mom, who heard from her gynecologist's receptionist, that the wolf grey is our new away colored jersey. This chick knows the guy who sold shoes to the equipment guy's brother-in-law, and he told her that since we've only worn the white jersey twice we can call that our alternate.

Personally, I want to see the quasi-retro-except-for-the-helmet, color scheme of the white jersey and wolf grey pants. THAT would be cool.

The home team decides which jerseys they want to wear; Cowboys just prefer their whites I guess. It can be kind of a home-field advantage in September for teams in the south when it's still warm out to make the away team wear their dark-colored home jerseys and soak up more heat.

How come the cowboys can wear white at home all the time?

Home teams decide who wears what.

In fact back in the day the home team ALWAYS wore white, it wasn't until the last 20 years or so that teams started getting crazy with home uniform choices.

Sgt. Largent, I have to disagree with your statement. Not sure how it was in the 50's or 60's even though in highlights, it always seemed the giants and bears wore their dark jersys. In the early 80's I believe the cowboys were the only team that wore their white uniform at home, might have been 1 or 2 others. Now I believe the redskins every now and then wore white at home against the cowboys because the cowboys never wore dark and used it it try to psyche them out. If you look back at old seahawk videos I don't think they ever wore white at home.
