Good study on how and why sacks are sometimes over-rated. :)

Pressure is important, and it can have good effects even if they don't get home. I suspect sacks will start to accumulate a bit now that they are containing the run game a bit.

As far as Nwosu, I didn't expect him to just step in and be his 2022 self right away. Hopefully he can build on what he's done so far and get back to his old form soon.

Eh...sometimes overrated, maybe. But in the modern era of scrambling and houdini quarterbacks, too much damage is being done after a pressure or even a hit, and a definitive end to the play is becoming more and more valuable. I'm becoming concerned that Boye Mafe and Derick Hall let too many almost-sacks out of their grasp.

Well, while he plays a totally different position, some will dwell on the lack of sacks for Bryon Murphy. Yet, he's putting a lot of pressure on opposing o lineman, and it's creating opportunities for other guys on the line.

Mike Mcdonald made a point, this week, of identifying sacks as a team statistic rather than an individual statistic. That says a lot about what he wants out of his defense.
