Russ has said more than once he wants/expects to be playing when he is 40, and getting better.
Who could, or would, match his pay scale? I think he resigns for an adjusted rate. He needs a roster that can support him and won't get it if he takes all the loot.

How is it that the Steelers, Saints, Rodgers, and soon Mahomes are paying their QB top dollar (or did once upon a time)...and they manage to have a top O-line every year?

Why is it that elite QBs get elite O-lines, except for ours? Why do we treat our franchise QB like this? He should be getting all that he wants, including an O-line that is the best in the league. Just like the "elite" Qbs

6th best.

Doesn't he want to buy the Seahawks?

That's what I see.

He has invested in a few sports organizations, Sounders and a firm to bring MLB to Portland. Seems like he is working on a folio to buy a NFL team. If not the Seahawks, I think he will move to another area of possible NFL ownership.
That would cost billions. He almost definitely won’t be able to be a majority owner, but could maybe be the face of a leadership group ala Magic or Jeter. NFL teams are even more expensive though.

His contract is up 2 years before Carroll's is up . If no more SB appearances in his last 3 years he will leave Carroll and the Hawks for a team that is young and in contention . He will have to survive 120 plus more sacks in his last 3 seasons and be healthy in order to move on and play elsewhere . IMO

That does not reflect the pass block win rate in recent weeks and it’s even worse according to Football outsiders

I think you have to take offensive philosophy into account when assessing O-line play. Without commenting on who runs what and what their internal philosophies are, some passing systems are gonna ask less of their o-line compared to others. As far as I know, none of these metrics factor anything like in to their assessments. It would be interesting to see a breakdown on that from that has that level of knowledge.
