Why not sign Mike Vick?

Wilson is banged up, i think he should sit this week before he gets banged up even worse. Vick is still a free agent and nobody is picking him up. I watched him play with the steelers a little last year while big ben was banged up and hes still got a little left in the tank , he can still play. Wouldnt be a bad idea to start him against the saints D and keep him on the roster. Plus, its mike frikkin vick.

Vick is a vet, boykin is a rookie without a single start in his career. Vick is still capable of making big plays, hes better than boykin at this stage, boykin might make some game changing rookie mistakes.

And again...he doesn't know our playbook. He would be weeks away from being marginally ready.

Boykin is the better option for us, rookie or not. He has been in our program for 6 months now.

He hasn't been good in a long time. He was pretty awful last year filling in for Ben. And tbh, if we signed him today, what good would that do? For him to pick up the offense and get on the same page with the receivers, it would take weeks.

Yeah, happened back in August. I also believe we need a veteran backup QB.
