what's almost as bad is that Yahoo Sports has us at 13 this week. DOWN one spot from 12 last week.
I don't find that terribly upsetting. First, "power rankings" are made-up nonsense. Second, the Seahawks have so far beaten two teams widely expected to suck this season. I can imagine other teams in the same neighborhood in the last-week ranking moving up more than the Seahawks. Honestly, putting the Seahawks 12th in the league after just the week-1 games and 13th after the first two weeks seems like a compliment overall to me.
The other thing is that it's still very early in the season. Let's talk in three weeks or so, when small-sample-size effects are a little less shocking, so for example, Derek Carr is no longer the runaway league MVP and is heading back toward being forgotten in his natural habitat, the mid-to-lower third quartile of starting quarterbacks.
