Every era of Seahawks football seems to produce a few players whose names instantly bring back great memories. Guys like Steve Largent, Walter Jones, Cortez Kennedy, Marshawn Lynch, Bobby Wagner, Kam Chancellor, and Russell Wilson didn't just put up great numbers—they became part of Seahawks history and helped define an era of football in Seattle.
So that got me thinking...who on today's roster has the best chance to someday be mentioned alongside those names? Is it someone who's already established, or do you think the next Seahawks legend is a younger player who hasn't fully broken out yet? Sometimes you don't realize you're watching a future franchise icon until years later.
It'll be interesting to look back 15 or 20 years from now and see which players we still talk about. Championships certainly help build a legacy, but so do leadership, consistency, loyalty, and those unforgettable moments that stick with fans forever. Who's your pick, and why? I think this could be a fun discussion.
--If I had to pick someone today, I'd probably go with JSN. He has all the tools to become a true franchise cornerstone. His route running is already among the best on the team, he's incredibly reliable, and he seems to have the work ethic and attitude you want in a long-term leader. If he continues to develop into Sam Darnold's go-to target and puts together a few Pro Bowl-caliber seasons, I think he has a legitimate shot at becoming one of those players Seahawks fans talk about for decades. It feels like his best football is still ahead of him. 2nd pick might be Emmanwori, but a bit early still.
