She must post on .net.
Good, then I hope she responds to this. Kimes, most of us on here are born and raised here so we grew up as Hawk fans. You are not from here, so how and when did you end up a Hawks fan, I'm curious. Why have you bet against Seattle every game this season if you're such a die hard fan. I'm not saying they would win every game but c'mon man. All of us on here analyze the games with common sense for the most part. Most of us on here said we would lose to San Fran because they are a good team and they have rocked us the last 6 times we played them. We got the win in their house. Now you're betting against them AGAIN on Sunday against the Cardinals. Why, I think they're gonna win Sunday as do most people on here. We've shut down 2 of the most powered offense in football 2 times in row. You think they're back are gonna dice us up, even after we completely shut down CMC. You think Kyler is gonna light us up. The answer is no and no. Hawks are playing good ball right now. Your opinion means absolutely nothing to me.

Why would anyone care that much about just another media person who on occasion covers the Seahawks for *entertainment* purposes? So I don't tend to take those people too seriously. I'm more interested in what Brock Huard, Dave Wyman, Mark Schlereth, Kurt Warner, have to say. She's paid to be *entertaining*, not correct, and to hook viewers in emotionally. Looks like that's working with you. Entertaining to watch, but I'd get betting advice elsewhere. Also, she seems to work for the LA Rams in assorted capacities.

Wikipedia says her father is from Seattle, so that would be her connection from childhood to the Seahawks. Reputedly she has a Seahawks SB48 tattoo.

She is more reliable than most of the pundits we see scattered around the media feeds. I think I recall a time when was a featured Seahawk writer on .com, which is when I came to like her. I don't have to agree with everything someone says to like them, but consistent pessimism turns me off.

Mina is a huge hawks fan and extremely knowledgeable. Doesn't mean she always has the right takes but definitely knows what the hell she's talking about.

I've heard of this Mina Kimes chick and was told she's a diehard Hawks fan. She's picked against the Seahawks every game this season. I don't like her breakdown of football or the Hawks. She's bashing them but not where it's obvious if that makes sense. She's seems like a bandwagon fan to me. She's not from the PNW so it makes sense why she's not a true diehard fan.

Dude, look around. There are plenty of fans here from before the PC era who aren’t from Washington. That is actually a huge part of what makes this place so great.

I've been all over the country and I don't see a lot of Hawk fans. I've ran into some but not a lot. I've seen a lot of Packer, Patriots, Steelers, 49ers, Cowboys, and a few others. I've been to several sport bars in other states where I'd walk in and I was the only Hawk fan in the place. The Hawks game would be on but it would be on the smallest TV in the corner of the bar. I would sit there watching the game and thinking this is bullshit, I wish I was home right now watching the game on my big screen.

A 10 second google search of her, and from some posts here, would explain why she's a Seattle sports fan despite not having lived there.

I mean, I was sort of on your side that Kimes does seem to be betting against thr Seahawks a lot. However, she did not bet against them in all of the games. Making blanket statements is lazy and ruins an argument. Also her opinion absolutely means something to you 😂!

Mina’s rationale for going against them in this game is the Cardinals do a lot of play action and Seattle had been very bad defending play action. San Fran and LA don’t really run that offense anymore. Hope she’s wrong and I’m sure Mike is looking to make adjustments.

You can believe whatever you want but just know there’s a lot of world out there beyond your personal experiences.

Kimes is from Nebraska. I don't know a lot of Hawks outside of Washington. The ones I do know jumped on during the LOB era.
If you are a 12, why would you want Hawks fandom to be geographically restricted? Lol, I live SoCal desert with 2 'local' NFL teams and 2 more closer than Seattle. Can I still be a 12?

Agreed, with that 10 second search, even Wikipedia reports her dad is from the Seattle area. Another article talks about her and her brother pledging to get tattoos if the Seahawks ever won the Super Bowl, and that apparently she followed through.

One doesn't have to justify, does one? She becomes a 12 because of her father or just like the team color, what's the difference?

Her analysis is spot on:

Not bad, the whole panel had relevant things to say, more about Kyler and Cardinals weapons than the Seahawks, but Mina does chime in on the total LB changeover in the MacD Seattle defense and how past results with previous LBs may not be predictive of current performance with new LBs Jones and the rookie. The whole panel is *entertaining* and does a nice job of setting up how *interesting* the matchup should be. That's their job, to attract emotions and eyeballs. Well done.

What they didn't really address is the matchup between the Seahawks offense and the Cardinals' defense. Except the one guy who thought Kenneth Walker would have a good day.

I simply find I get more in-depth analysis from the football minds on this board, that by the time I listen to the "national" media, that often, these types of points have already been discussed and rehashed that it's like the media people are cherry-picking from here. For example, not one mentioned the impact of the return of Abe Lucas or the promotion of Olu Oluwatimi to the starting O-Line rotation. If, with better O-Line play, Seattle can create a bruising ground game, that will dramatically affect the way the game turns out.

I feel that often media faces can be "assigned", by producers, to rep a certain take on the teams, players and game, again, for *entertainment* purposes. Just doing their job.

Not really intending to diss the national media, or Mina (though some deserve a major diss, like clown-ass Nick Wright), just saying I don't view their content as essential analysis for betting men, compared to other sources. For drinking men, absolutely, go all in, have fun, but maybe place any bets before the drinking.
