I like Seattle, Philly and LA in that order. The AFC is lower echelon as a conference and the Hawks already waxed the Texan’s ass. Denver has a nice defense but again….the AFC is lower competition IMO 1763662663603

Yup. JSN is flat out uncoverable, most of the time. He is shockingly good as a receiver.

Rams D is #2 in PPG. That would put them in the elite category statistically.

Their D line confused our OL with stunts. Forbes had an excellent break up that prevented the Shaheed TD. Their robber safety picked off our QB twice. They played dime and dared us to run out of heavy. They held our top 10 redzone offense to FGs instead of TDs. They squatted on routes because they knew Sam could be flustered under pressure. Shula is a very good coordinator who exploited weaknesses in our offense.

They're in the upper echelon of defenses this season.

The Rams vs Bucs game will be interesting.

In the NFC, the Eagles have the best defensive talent. We have very good talent and the best defensive coach. The Rams are not too far behind us. The Giants have some real defensive talent, but have underperformed. GB is in the mix. The 9ers are decimated. The Lions ain't bad. The Vikings have a very good defensive coordinator, some good talent, but are out of the mix.

It's funny how metrics separates the top defenses with such the slightest of margins. 19 PPG versus 16 is the difference between #1 and #6? Wow. The eye test knows better. You can NOT convince me - metrics be damned - that there are 5 defenses in the NFL more elite and ferocious than the Seattle Seahawks defense.

No doubt. PPG is just one data point, which can be skewed by a game where we give up 35 points. Take out that game and the average looks much better.

If we're just going by eye test, sure Seattle looks like the most dominant defense.
