Pass blocking wise, Charles Cross played at high level in the past two games, in fact totally elite against the Rams. Peters played well against the Rams too now that he is getting into game shape, although a short week may be unkind to his 40+ yo body. Interior linemen? A big question mark. A few thoughts: Olu may be a better pass blocker than Brown? Our guards Lewis Haynes and Bradford all substandard at pass blocking, sigh.

What will the Seahawks do against pressure? Send receivers on more long-developing routes, and ensure there's an easy dump-off option for the QB on at MOST 40% of non-running plays. The same thing we've been doing, in other words.

According to PFF, our OL played one of its best games last weekend:

• The Seahawks' offensive line played one of its best games of the season. The unit allowed just nine total pressures on 41 dropbacks and ranked sixth in pass-blocking efficiency in Week 11.
• 
  (Charles) Cross did not surrender a single pressure against the Rams, and his 90.7 pass-blocking grade led all offensive linemen in Week 11.

So there is hope. But they weren't going up against Nick Bosa, Chase Young, Eric Armsted, Javon Hargrave, and Fred Warner. It could be a long day.

I'm not sure how you were able to come to that conclusion based on my remarks. I said that "there is hope." That doesn't sound like "no shot" to me. Does it you?

The fact is that we've lost two of our last three while the Niners seem to have shaken out of their mid-season slump and are considered by many to be the solid favorites in this game, so a pessimistic attitude is well justified and not the result of a pack full of Debbie Downers.
