This was Sean Payton's position on offensive lines as well, the middle 3. Pressure up the middle is the quickest way to bust a play.

Sure, pressure off the edge can do it...unless you're getting rid of the ball in less than 2.5 seconds on every play.

Center is ridiculously important to all good o-lines and all the great ones had a stellar center.

Our great OL was great because of a guard and tackle. The center was good but not the star. Centers are overrated by a lot of fans but not by coaches or GMs who tend to pay them diddly squat.

The weak link of an OLine is the weakest player on the OLine...A great C will not fix a weak T or G and do nothing if they are both weak.


Agree on the coaching part...assuming the coach has talent to work with.

After seeing a.d.wreck us from pressure up the gut it'll sure be nice to be a hawk if teams can't do that for at least a year or two
If Grubb and the line gel midway through the season we could be heading for good things
