Not sure what was positive... I need a silver lining.

You get a silver lining. Thomas won't be that far out of position the rest of the season

Not much of any silver linings around, when you lead the league in penalties, and all the refs think your guys are "thugs"- they start LOOKING for penalties- when they get as-holes like Harbaugh crying to them to watch us for this and watch us for that--

Unlike a lot of you around here, think I will wait to book my flights to the Super Bowl, we got a long LONG way to go to get there

The silver lining is we lost by only 2 points to a damn good Niners team with a bunch of their starters back, at THEIR house. 2 frickin' points. They were playing as if it was their Super Bowl. If I were a Niner fan, I really wouldn't be feeling too peachy about the win right now. The Giants should be afraid... VERY afraid! Oh, and eventually we'll get Thurmond, Harvin and maybe even Browner back.

Russell Wilson didn't get hurt by over-aggressive 49ers looking to take him out of the game?

I wouldn't have cared if we won by one point, why should the Niners feel bad about winning by two? They won. They shamed their rivals in front of their home crowd. They're on cloud nine right now and we put them there. I cannot fathom why Seahawks fans are taking solace in this two-point nonsense. Until one of us is out of the playoffs, the nation will point to today as a reason why they think the 9ers are the rightful champions. It's sickening.

Losing by two points on a last minute field goal is not shaming a team, beating a team by 40 plus points is. Winning a game because of two huge mistakes one on special teams and one by the defense on that run by Gore is on us.

That was a playoff atmosphere game with IMO the second best team in the league.. and we hung with them in their house the whole way through.. HFA is huge, at home we win that game. there's your silver lining...

I can't believe we let that crap of a team win. I'm extremely disappointed in the Hawks. No credit to the niners, they are not that good, the Hawks just let them win.

And no, we are not the best team in the league. The best team in the league wins on the road against their major division rival. If not for the home field advantage we wont make it all the way through the play offs. We proved that fact today.

well,
The tight end play was good from willson.
we only need to win 2 games still.
We lost now better to do it early then in the play offs. we can go 6 games without losing.
perhaps we see Michael activated now that jeron Johnson, KJ and unger are hurt.

Yeah the loss sucked...big time....but it could be a lot worse - keep in mind all of those "silver linings" from losses during the late Holmgren/Mora/pre RW years:
- "we played them well for almost an entire half..."
- "our punter sure looked good tonight"
- "at least we didn't lose by 20 like last time"
- "we haven't been mathematically eliminated from a possible wild-card yet"

We lost by 2 points and are now 11-2. NFL #1. I can live with this loss.

They don't have to win 'em all fellas, just most of them. This team is outstanding and will prevail. While the Niner fans and Kaeperstank are celebrating "getting the monkey of their back" in a slim victory at home, Russell Wilson is looking much higher.

I was thinking the Niners were going to be better than that at home, but I don't think RW is going to ever lose in SF again. Seriously.

The Hawks aren't losing at home to anyone this year and while KaeperPick celebrates his majestic Victory at home, the realization of his inability to beat the Hawks was tied to the Clink, not scraping out a win at home, where he won't be playing if they even make the postseason.

Nobody has it better than the Hawks.
