Just get used to it because we'll have another 15 days without our Hawks during wildcard games :D

I'm gonna enjoy every minute of it.

Russell Wilson's already admitted to watching all of Drew Brees' games multiple times, I imagine over the next couple weeks he'll be spending a lot of time with the defense sharing what he knows.

Meanwhile everyone who's been hurt but played yesterday got a taste for being in a game again, and now has a chance to get even healthier after feeling how they fared against live bullets.

Now everyone's got two weeks to get cranked up for a prime time game that will likely be the major deciding factor in HFA throughout the playoffs, and we get to do it in our house. 12th man will be insane.

I'm actually pretty glad for the break right now. The team needs to get healthy for the stretch run.

Pete said in his presser last night the bye is not coming at a good time and they want to keep playing. He doesn't want anything to stop the momentum.

Oh well it is what is it. we should be full health for the Monday night game.

Saints play at Atlanta this Thursday night...should be a cakewalk for them the Falcons have cashed in the season.

Nice and rested for the game of the year in the NFL. Winner will have the top seed at that point (assuming that the Saints beat the Falcons, which they will).

It's a nice break before the real season starts. They took care of business and it's afforded them a chance to focus on the next 5 games to determine their post-season fate. Hopefully our D gets rested and we take every available second to break down the Saints scheme. A late bye seemed to almost bite us in the ass when we got run on and just about lost a couple games, but since they came out ahead in them its turned into the perfect time for a week off.

Good for them, but for me it means more yard work, garage cleaning and other to do list stuff... I'd rather be watching the Hawks!!

The rough thing is that with the Saints playing on Thursday and the Niners playing on Monday, we not only have no Hawks on Sunday...we have literally no games of any meaning to our team.

I'm still an NFL junkie and will still be sitting and watching, but Sunday will feel painfully empty by comparison to every other Sunday this year.

Have to agree with this. Get healthy, let the bumps and bruises heal up. 2 weeks to prepare for the saints, plus going into the bye they have the best record and are in a very positive frame of mind. It's all good! :th2thumbs:

IIRC, Pete made the same statement in his presser last year after we beat the Jets, which started our bye week.
