Washington is playing a better team. No sense in debating how good or bad individual players are.

Alabama's play calling has helped UW stay in it too. Seems like every time they pass something negative happens.

At least UW fans can take solace in the fact that Browning will be there for all 4 years. He's clearly not a NFL prospect.

Bigtime hold there, but that probably does it. Browning is playing scared and can't get right.

Why are so many people blaming Browning for this and not giving credit to the Alabama defense? This is what they do. This is why everyone was saying Washington needed a borderline miracle to beat this team.

This is like blaming Russ or Bevell when the OL lets 5 guys in unblocked. Sometimes you just get outmanned by the opposition.
The Bama defense is obvious, but the UW D had kept them in it time and time again even having been on the field all day. Browning even gave them 6. He's been in don't hurt me mode since and including that throw. Obviously the OL sucks, but he's been horrible.

Not disagreeing at all here. The fact they were in it this late is a surprise in itself. I don't want to sound like a complete Bama honk right now, but they are reallllllly good. Sometimes its more of that than any individual performance.

Thanks for coming Washington. Enjoy your complimentary Chik-Fil-A
It could be worse. UW could be losing 52-6. Just sayin'!

They defied a lot of score predictions. Offense just hasn't done anything since the TD drive.

I'm proud of the defense.

Need to get bigger and stronger at wideout, better on the Oline, and a better QB

The score could have been a lot worse and sadly a lot of the damage was self inflicted. Browning is a sophomore and didn't lose the game for the Huskies. He and the Huskies should be just fine next year.

The complaints about Browning are legit though. I've only watched parts of a few games all year, but his arm strength issues really, really stick out. The ball just can't be in the air that long against fast defenses.

I know it sounds crazy to say about a Soph who just had a crazy season, but that puts a ceiling on what UW as a championship contender UNLESS they heavily invest in the running game and thus also the OL. Easier said than done because it's about recruiting, but weak armed QB is a handicap at the championship level.

That and NFL teams won't take him seriously. Not trolling or anything and I don't even follow college much. No motive here, just an honest take.

Browning isn't a good QB.

He is what we have, but he hasn't really been good all year. What has made him look good is guys like Ross, Pettis and Gaskin. Go back and watch the Cal game to see throw after throw that was terrible but that Ross waited for and turned into results.

Browning has a weak arm but is only a Sophomore so maybe he improves.

The team is fairly good, evidenced by the fact the team is playing in the NYE bowl. But Browning was always going to be the weak link for this team.

By all accounts a great person and great kid, but nowhere near one of the better QBs in the game and actually a weakness of the team.

But he is all we have so...we are kind of stuck with him. It is actually amazing Petersen has gotten as much out of him as he has.

Never change Husky fans. Never change.

Kid throws for 42 TD, takes UW to their best season since the 90's and now he's not good. Ahhhhhhh.

He played poorly against two great defenses, what did he say that you don't understand?

Did he play good today, even when he had time? No.

He's young, maybe he'll be better next year.

The pit
Defense kept them in the game. The Offense outside of scoring drive sucked!!!!
Horrible scheme, horrible play calling, horrible execution, and horrible decision making by Browning.

And yes, Alabama is damn good, but there are holes in that defense and a QB with more poise and experience than Browning could exploit.
