Browning is playing like a true freshman. Shows how silly the Heisman talk was.
I expect and hope for him to take a huge leap next year.

Washington's probably going to lose, but it won't be the defenses fault.

Only reason why the game is as close as it is.

Same could be said for Bamas defense. Not covering yourself in glory here. Bit too obvious

Yes.. the same could be said for the #1 defense in the country and the best defense in the modern era. Almost like they do this every week!

So both teams defenses are keeping them in the game.

Glad you got there

Alabama does this sort of thing to teams. The Saban mindset. Take away what the opponent does best.

It's pretty pathetic to allow the trolling of a perfectly good game thread.

Nah. He needs this.

Watched the first half in a sports bar, there was Alabama fan next to me and he was so smug acting like how is UW hanging around?I just said you aren't getting a blowout win today and be thankfull for those two gifts of turnovers that got you 10 points.Jake Browning is still learning and will learn a lot from this game..

Browning isn't a good QB.

He is what we have, but he hasn't really been good all year. What has made him look good is guys like Ross, Pettis and Gaskin. Go back and watch the Cal game to see throw after throw that was terrible but that Ross waited for and turned into results.

Browning has a weak arm but is only a Sophomore so maybe he improves.

The team is fairly good, evidenced by the fact the team is playing in the NYE bowl. But Browning was always going to be the weak link for this team.

By all accounts a great person and great kid, but nowhere near one of the better QBs in the game and actually a weakness of the team.

But he is all we have so...we are kind of stuck with him. It is actually amazing Petersen has gotten as much out of him as he has.

Heh, now play calls that time doesn't allow. Almost mailing it in now. And Browning can't accurately hit anything right now.

Yeah, the punt is a you win.

Bigtime hold there, but that probably does it. Browning is playing scared and can't get right.

Why are so many people blaming Browning for this and not giving credit to the Alabama defense? This is what they do. This is why everyone was saying Washington needed a borderline miracle to beat this team.

This is like blaming Russ or Bevell when the OL lets 5 guys in unblocked. Sometimes you just get outmanned by the opposition.

Browning isn't the problem. The Alabama D is the problem. Loads of talent all around and fantastic coaching. UW is just outmatched like we knew they would be.

Never change Husky fans. Never change.

Kid throws for 42 TD, takes UW to their best season since the 90's and now he's not good. Ahhhhhhh.
