I absolutely love this guy. He's the kind of player I want my kids to idolize - on and off the field. When I was a kid I had Steve Largent. My boys have Russell Wilson.

You won Seahawks.net. (At least coming from a father and a kid when Largent was playing).

How did Doug Baldwin get Seahawks Man of the Year? Boggles the mind.

It should be Russell every time. Isnt there an NFL man of the year?

Can you win MVP and Man of the year in the same year? - Russell Wilson can

You know...I'm a pretty cynical guy. Most attempts at "inspiration" in our society leave me unimpressed. But Wilson's really gotten through to me. It speaks volumes just how much one can improve himself and the people around him through sheer work ethic and preparation.

completely agree, as I generally have the same outlook, and find his work, and general outlook to be refreshing.

I think he needs to spend more time with his family (wife). He is gone everyday @ 6am and back only after dinner?

Classiest person on earth. How could you not love this guy?

I read somewhere that his father once told him "There is a King in every room....Be that King." I think it's safe to say that he has become that King and that his father looks down on him with ample pride everyday.

We all love Russell Wilson that's no lie but damn, where does the guy find the energy to do what he does? My head spins just thinking about what a day in the life of Russell Wilson must be like. Practice, study film, interviews/public appearances, visits to the children's hospital etc. Hell, I can make it through the work day and have some time to do things around the house and work out and I'm spent. And I've got great time management skills! God must've granted Russell extra hours in his day to do good work. It's got to be the only way he takes care of business. He makes me tired. Zzzzz...

What did we do to deserve him? Lol seriously, he's an incredible dude, totally sincere in everything he does. I don't know how you root against a guy like him.

We're so damn lucky.

I have wondered the same. I think god with a capital G makes it possible for him it's the only logical answer.

Hey! NFL! Can you say MVP?

It's not just about how an NFL player can throw or run, it's how he REPRESENTS the NFL!

I think 30+ years of mediocrity has allowed us to deserve him. As a fan, I've waited as long for a QB like him. He's all the QB greats wrapped up into one.

I think what always blows my mind away is how genuine it is. It's not some show he puts on to go "hey I'm a good guy, ignore all this other stuff!" .. or some show to get a camera in his face. He genuinely cares about his fans and those who look up to him who aren't in the best of situations.

It's absolutely incredible. He's beyond a class act at this point.. there are so few role models in this genre, but Russell Wilson is at the top of that list.

I barely have time to take out the trash every couple days. What continues to amaze me about Wilson is that he is such a dedicated football player with legendary work ethic yet still finds the time and energy to be better at life than me off the field as an outstanding citizen and human being. He is supernatural in every sense.
