The good folks at Discovery Channel were kind enough to pass along to Zap2it fans this exclusive clip from Tuesday's (June 4) "Deadliest Catch" episode, showing the Bering Sea crab-fishing fleet enjoying audio of a Seattle Seahawks playoff game from January.

But when the crew of the F/V Time Bandit -- captained, for opilio-crab season, by Andy Hillstrand -- decides to celebrate in the usual way, something goes very wrong.

I was wondering when they'd hurt themselves playing with those fireworks. I just figured it would've been one of the kids on there instead of a vet.

Didn't know that Sig or the Hillstrands were Hawk fans. I know Captain Keith is big time. It's about time they showed some Hawk love on DC. It makes sense that many of them are.

And Keith fielded some questions from us .netters last year.

(although he elected not to answer my question about his anger management issue... the dude's occasionally, and seriously, out of control at times)

Kind of surprised to see the Time Bandit crew on the Seahawks bandwagon.

I spent most of the 80's and early 90's in Homer, AK and Seahawks fans were a decided minority.

Caught a lot of grief for wearing my Seahawks cap on the fish dock from most of the boat crews, including the Time Bandit.

More pop culture intermingling's with my beloved football team.

It's suddenly very cool to be a Seahawks fan. :stirthepot:

Things have changed a lot in 20-30 years my friend. We were in the minority back then for sure. Now, I see Hawks gear all over Alaska. I wear my Hawks hat everyday and a day doesn't go by that I don't hear "Go Hawks!". Sometimes It's just me looking in the mirror ;)

Nice! Maybe we ran in to each other at some time? I know Andy really well and have done some work on the Time Bandit while working for my buddy Tim Carr (Advanced Propeller). Also did some work on the Maritime Maid while working for Maritime Helicopters.

Let me guess, were you working for Floyd? (aka "Floyd R. Turbo") :D

Edit: As a matter of fact, we were deer hunting on Afognak on the Resolution and I had tuned in a Seahawks game. Damn that Andre Reed :D

If you spent any time in the Salty Dawg we probably did. I was dock foreman for Seward Fisheries for a while then drove truck for D&S Trucking.

I couldn't tell, who had the firework go off in his hand? Someone from the Time Bandit?
Yes. It was one of the deck hands from the Time Bandit. They said "no more fireworks" after the event.

Love how the skip is yelling get ice on it and call to make sure the clinic is ready. Then calmly goes "whats the score?" haha
