College football is being ruined by this crap. This isn't just a UW thing, this is all over the country. What makes this worse was that he signed and said he was staying. Then flipped. Ridiculous.
And as far as Fisch goes, I hope he DOES go. Not a fan.

Any other sport you have a contract that needs to be honored and usually a specific timeline to make deals or trades. College is absolutely broken right now. The only way it gets fixed is if the Big 10 and SEC commissioners get together and agree on some rules on how to manage this.

Seems to be rumors they may go for Fifita. Hasn't been as good since not playing with Fisch.

Pretty dewshy to announce this during a memorial. Wow

I don't care if he's "just a kid"
No, he's a grown adult who SIGNED A DEAL, and a few days later decides to leave. And chooses THIS time to announce it.

Self centered much?

Lmao UWs QB who just signed one of the biggest deals in college football already trying to bail out just days after signing. Classic. Must be a great culture there at UW

It's funnier that you think it's just a UW thing. The adults are talking now.
There have been over 4000 players that have entered the portal. But....it's only UW that has players bolt
Sounds like something a Poog or Quack fan would say.
The entire system is ruining college football, period. It was a dewshy move on his part, and that goes any player, no matter what team he plays for. It's a breach of contract, PERIOD.

So true Soul.

All levels of college football will feel some level of pain. I initially figured the "have" or blue blood programs - who are now effectively a football version of the NBA's D-league - would be somewhat immune from the issues the portal causes. Seems like they too are being hit by it.

I figured the true blue bloods would keep whomever they wanted to keep - while it would be the smaller and non-blue blood teams that would suffer. While the portal does indeed hit the little guys harder - the Semi-pro guys are feeling it too.

I will always root for and support my Alma Mater - but I find myself rooting for the logo now rather than the kids wearing the uniforms and that is sad.

It's one thing to change your mind, people do that. But he signed a contract. He doesn't just get a pass because he's "a kid"

And then to announce it during a service? Dayum. And it sounds like that's how many of his teammates found out.
What a leader.

The contract he signed with UW literally said he couldnt go back into the portal.

How come professional sports contracts are generally binding from the team side but college seems to be a free for all?

Even if they stop it, would you want him back now?

His agent has dropped him (who is also the same agent as Fisch), apparently he didn't even tell his agent.

Sure, whatevs. He's a 19 year old kid that dun fuct up. I was a dumbass 19 year old kid at one point too, so I tend to have a lot of grace for young people that screw up unless someone gets hurts.

This is the best outcome. Hope college players stop trying to circumvent their contracts (to put it politely) after this example.
