And why tf was there that many cops there immediately for a simple traffic stop in the first place? I'd tell you why but you'll just say I'm crazy. Just know that this shit, and far worse, has been happening to some of us forever. We weren't making shit up for shits n giggles back in the 80s & 90s before bodycams became widespread. FTP. FTP. FTFAP.
I ended up on a reddit sub some time ago and the amount of videos of cops being outrageously abusive (when they thought they were out of sight) with black people was staggering. And it is stuff you don't even see on the news (probably because the victims/detainees survived).

1. You can’t drive 90-100 mph on a 50 mph speed limit I. A construction zone. If I went 100 on a 55, I would had been arrested.

2. There were 2 cops at the beginning just chilling and they weren’t using radar.

3. You cant roll your tinted window back up you might get shot by the officers.

4. People say knocking the window is bad? What’s bad at knocking the window he didn’t knock it hard he tapped it. How would you talk to someone with the window all the way shut.

5. Don’t tell the cop just write me a ticket and go. Not sure if he used profanity but the cop was trained to do his job. He probably was pissed off because of his attitude.

6. Oh and one more thing. When you get pulled over don’t call your agent. That’s so………… (….) he made it much worse

Two wrongs don’t make a right. And both parties were at fault here for the escalation that took place when it didn’t need too. In then end, it didn’t matter, tyreek being the diva he is will go on to milk this with his agent and clearly the team. In the end I could give a f less about the Dolphins, Tyreek or the state of Florida tbh.

Tyreek has already previously been the question/center of a few issues off field. Maybe the man’s got a hot head or short temper? He runs his mouth a lot but NEVER backs it up. Where’s this race between him and DK? Dudes just a diva staying in the limelight for as long as he can. Because any press is going to give him that attention he so desperately seeks. He’s 1 burfect hit away from being Antonio Brown 2.0

What the officer did wasn't right, but Hill could've avoided an interaction with him entirely had he not given the cop a reason to pull him over. It's not like he was pulled over for going 5-10 mph over the limit, reckless driving means he was going 25+ over the posted limit. We've heard the reports of other NFL players getting other people killed or seriously injured because they were driving recklessly. That's something Tyreek needs to think about whenever he gets behind the wheel.

Maybe this gets the attention of Tyreek Hill enough that he makes different choices. Yank the cops' chain, be disrespectful, play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Was Hill expecting the cops to give him "athlete privilege"? Hill acted like he thinks he's above-the-law and can thumb his nose at cops by rolling up his tinted window when they told him to leave his window down.

If it's supposedly a "race-based" incident, how come nobody is mentioning that the officer Hill disrespected first is Hispanic? In the Miami area, most likely there are more black and Hispanic cops than white.

I bet if a white or Hispanic or Asian or Indian guy engages in same behavior as Hill, disrespecting officers, and disobeying lawful police orders, he gets similar treatment. Anyone posting on this board who did the same things as Hill, whether driving a Lambo or a Toyota, probably gets similar treatment.

Why is Hill "surprised" at his treatment after his disrespect towards the officers and non-compliance with lawful orders? He could be a leader for good by coming out and saying, "Don't act the fool like I did. Be respectful and comply with lawful orders, and let everyone get on with their day".

It will be interesting to see Officer Brandon Tatum's take on this.

EDIT: Officer Brandon Tatum's take is HERE:

In a sane world, the Dolphins would suspend Hill for at least 1 game including losing his game check for "Conduct Detrimental to the Team" and require him to make a public apology for creating this mess. I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Most defended Geno when he was speeding. Hill was not drinking and smoking weed unlike Geno. There is also no evidence of calling these cops having small penis and threaten to beat up the medical staff.

These cops are in the wrong. I think it was less then a minute before dragging him out and shoving his face to the concrete for a traffic violation and feelings hurt.

Also didn't the cops also arrest his teammates.

"It's hard," Hill said. "I don't want to bring race into it, but sometimes it gets kind of iffy when you do. What if I wasn't Tyreek Hill? Lord knows what those guys would have done. I just wanted to make sure I was doing what my uncle always told me to do whenever you're in a situation like that — put your hands on the steering wheel and just listen."

lol if you put your hands on the wheel and just listen, how does your window go back up?

The Dolphins released a statement on the incident, expressing sadness over the conduct shown to Hill and his teammates Calais Campbell and Jonnu Smith, and urging "strong action against the officers" involved.

"We are saddened by the overly aggressive and violent conduct directed towards Tyreek Hill, Calais Campbell and Jonnu Smith by police officers before yesterday's game," the statement read. "It is both maddening and heartbreaking to watch the very people we trust to protect our community use such unnecessary force and hostility towards these players, yet it is also a reminder that not every situation like this ends in peace, as we are grateful this one did. 'What if I wasn't Tyreek Hill?' is a question that will carry with resounding impact.

One video showed the motorcycle officer who had pulled Hill over on the roadway leading into Hard Rock Stadium. He had apparently already struck or tapped on the window of Hill's McClaren sports car.

The officer looked inside and demanded to know why Hill didn't have his seatbelt on. Hill, through the open window, said to the officer, "Don't do my window like that."

"Why do you have it up?" the officer replied.

"Do what you gotta do" Hill said and put the darkly tinted window back up.

"Keep your window down," the officer told him, tapping on the glass.

The officer paused for about five seconds and looked around. He told Hill again to keep the window down or "I am going to get you out of the car. As a matter of fact, get out of the car."

The officer then demanded Hill open the door. Another officers stepped up and said, "Get out of the car or I will break that ... window," using an obscenity.

The door opened and the second officer reached in and grabbed Hill by the arm and the back of the head as the player said, "I am getting out."

The second officer forced Hill face first onto the ground. The officers forced Hill's arms behind his back as Hill yelled into his cellphone, "I am getting arrested Drew." It was unclear if he was talking to his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, or the team's director of security, Drew Brooks. Both soon showed up at the scene.

The officers handcuff Hill and one put a knee in the middle of his back. "If we tell you to do something, do it."
Like Chris Rock says, follow instructions and don't be an a hole. This punk was going 105, which is reckless driving. I saw cones around the parking zone, so that would be rules to cut the speed in half from 50 to 25-30. If this were me, a poor white boy, I am in jail until Monday when the Judge shows up for court.

What do you mean by "defended"? Do you mean that posters on this forum were arguing that Geno should have been let go and not cited because he was the starting QB for the local football team? Or do you mean that people were saying that he deserved to be pulled over and experience the consequences of his actions, but that they still think he's a decent guy and hope he learned his lesson?

These cops have reason to be nervous at a traffic stop - as of 2022 getting shot during a traffic stop is the second leading cause of death for officers, and the numbers are rising. When a rich dude who clearly doesn't give a crap about the law (100 in a 40 zone?!?) rolls his window back up, the cop is going to do whatever he needs to to make sure he gets to kiss his wife and kids that night - because that tinted window means he has NO IDEA what the driver is doing. He wouldn't be justified in shooting the driver through the window.....but he by all means IS justified in getting the driver out of the car as fast as possible.

If I understand correctly, the police detained but did not arrest his teammates. They were absolute idiots to be stopping - what did they expect to accomplish? Apparently his agent stopped too. The ONLY person who could have done him any good was his lawyer. When they drove by and saw him stopped, the right thing to do would be to call his agent/wife/girlfriend/whomever to inform his lawyer.

What do you think would happen if you drove 100mph in a 40mph zone, verbally disrespected the cops who stopped you, rolled up a dark-tinted window when the cops told you to leave it open, and you generally acted like a disrespectful punk? You wouldn't just wind up face down and cuffed, as Jeremiah said above, you'd be in jail until Monday.

Then Hill goes on TV and LIES about the events and feeds race-baiting narratives. Disgusting.

I don’t know. My Dad told me when I started driving to listen to the police. “You’re going to get pulled over.” I think it was excessive of the police, but Hill could have been better on his side.
