Glad PCJS saw the same thing I was seeing. The rookie FB experiments weren't really working out. Tuku is a fun player and a competent lead blocker.

Don't forget a versatile piece who can contribute on ST.

And on the DL.

And who doesn't like a 285 lb FB ?

Someone who likes it when the FB actually engages in blocks.

On Thursday, It would not surprise me to see Tukuafu also line up as a blocking tight end. They could use the depth.

Nice, I liked Tuku

Yeah me too. Not sure why we let him go in the first place. Bruiser, capable hands, blue collar.

I'm guessing because Tukuafu is 32 and in his 7th year in the league (minimum salary increases after year six). They tried to get someone younger and cheaper, and it hasn't worked. Tukuafu adds the toughness that this team needs.

I'm pretty sure that the "Minimum Salary Benefit Rule" applies which allows his cap hit to reflect 2 years of experience (600k as opposed to 885k). It's set up to allow older vets to more easily look for jobs. Either way, stoked he's back.

I heard that last year and I don't know who started it, but it's one of the catchiest nicknames I've heard.

This is nice but as far as the Seahawks bringing somebody back . . . . um, Gresham please!

:ditto:

However, I still like them bringing back this guy... very happy about that.
