Every since 2006 when the vikings admittingly screwed you guys over with the posion pill to sign hutchinson, We Vikings fans have felt like the seahawks have made it a purpose to sign all of our major free agents out of spite.

You gave Nate Burleson a 50mill contract after 1 good season. You signed T-Jack knowing he throws off his back foot, and gets injured. You signed Sidney Rice after 1 Good season, and then you trade for injury prone percy harvin. You also sign Winfield who can only play in the slots, but will get smoked by any fast slot receiver.

Lets stop this bickering, and sign a peace treaty. You dont have to sign all our players, and we apologize for the poison pill. I feel like its unfair cause none of these guys ever pan out for you guys.

They didn't pay Burleson 50 million dollars, geezus. They said if they played the Vikings 3 times in a year, he would get a matching 7 year, 49 million dollar deal. They knew that wasn't gonna' happen, but it was a shot at the Vikings for the stupid poison pill crap. Signey Rice is a hell of a player, and has contributed quite a bit. Percy missed 3 games total his first 3 seasons, enough with the injury prone crap. Rice has panned out just fine, Burleson was a contributer, Winfield will be a stud, and Percy WILL contribute to this team in the future.

T-Jax provides depth, Rice is a heck of a WR that put us in position to win some games last year, and will improve this year with it being the 2nd year with the team. Winfield can play against slot receivers just fine, and was rated the #1 CB vs the run last season.

Harvin missed 8 games last season, and may miss 16 more... I will give you that one.

I don't see it so much as a means of getting back at Minnesota.

All of the football operations staff that was around when that happened have been long gone (Holmgren, Ruskell, Leiwicke). Burleson was just a hammy way of turning what was absurd into a statement. A statement that we should note, has been expressly forbidden under the terms of the new CBA.

Seattle in 2006 was a title contender and was having to make hard choices on it's stars. Minnesota took advantage of that. We were in a position in 2011/12/13 to return the favor as the salary cap tables had turned.

I never saw it as intentional. The principles on the Seattle side have no history with Minnesota in that regard. We needed quality UFAs that fit a specific criteria (young with long term productivity). Minnesota had those players and was in a position where they hesitated to make long term commitments to them.

It was no different than the Zach Miller deal. Oakland didn't want to pay him -- or more accurately couldn't because they had committed salary cap dollars to players that were not productive or no longer in the league. We took advantage of that. The system inherently allows for that. It's why teams that structure their teams well and can keep an influx of cheap rookie talent year after year can thrive long term.

Minnesota isn't a bad operation. Nor is Seattle. We are undoubtedly going to start seeing player loss not unlike the Vikes have of late. It's inevitable and in the case of Seattle, it's been planned for.

I admit Christian Ponder sucks ass. I hope we suck this year, and draft Teddy Bridgewater.. BUT because we have the best human being to ever lace up a pair of cleats.. even if Ponder sucks ass, we shall still win 6-10 games with one man alone.. If Ponder actually pans out like eli did in his 3rd year, and becomes good.. O baby watch out. We got 3 studs at receiver Jennings, Simpson, Patterson.. A top 5 TE in Rudolph! The best O-Line in the game, and the greatest football player in history in AD. Yes you guys did put a hurting on us, but I dont see it happening again this year. I cant believe you guys actually found a QB! or was russell wilson true skill hidden behind marshawn lynch and your vaunted Defense? No one will underestimate shorty wilson this year, I wonder how it will go guys.. DONT SLEEP ON US.
