If he gets to that point, someone’s offering him between the McCaffrey haul and the Lance haul Of draft picks for Purdy. He can keep Purdy regardless...but

So far he has performed with all sorts of rookie mistakes. Based on his own draft class, it could take a year or so to know. they could qb2 Purdy as they did Garopollo. Think they will?

Sure you have 2 quarterbacks on rookie contract that totaled 3 firsts, a third and Mr irrelevant. Purdy is decent. Great mechanics, can make throws downfield and opens up the playbook. With Trey Lance it’s like watching a really bad version of Spencer Rattler but at least Rattler has played P-5 ball

I couldn't care less what the draft pick compensation was if one of these guys is their franchise QB.

Niners just moved into the 2nd seed in the NFC today with a shot at the 1 seed next week and you think I'm sweating the draft picks they gave up for Lance (which now appear to be at best late 20's picks)?

I agree. He’s playing well, but we need to see how he plays under pressure in the playoffs. Also, he’s playing in a system with excellent coaching and surrounded by Pro Bowl players. That makes a big difference for any QB.

You are so clueless. Trey Lance played 1 full regular season game against the Bears in a monsoon. He made some nice passes and missed a pass for a TD before the weather just destroyed any game plan that was created by both teams.

Trey was hurt early in the 1st Qrt in the second game of the season against your Seahawks. The 49ers still won.
