Yah…there’s too much hype about wanting to deal the pick.

JS is up to something.

Long shot - and by long, I mean really long…considering the position value, history, etc…

It’s hard to type this…he wants Love.

More likely, hoping teams interpret this hype as him moving back no matter what and he snatches Price.

No shenanigans (i.e., hype is real), he’s grabbing Washington in the 3rd somehow.

Gemstradamus has spoken.

Note: I’m usually wrong come draft day.
If for some .. crazy reason Love drops to 32... hes taking him.. instantly and who wouldn't but there is like what.. a 5 percent chance thats even a possibility... Maybe its still seen as a massive commodity after K9 got 15 million for 2 years of productive service. But he seems like a b etter bet than some of the DEs and OL available in the first

It is far easier to draft starters when your team isn’t already packed with superstars.

While we can’t attribute all of the lack of drafting success to this, it was a huge factor in those failed drafts following our first Super Bowl win.

It will be very interesting to see how Schneider approaches this quite similar situation that starts with this first, post Super Bowl winning draft this year.

Yah..no chance of Love dropping. It would absolutely have to be a trade up.

Cards or Titans projected to take him.

I could see it either way. Maybe misdirection, but also if you want to trade the pick, wouldn't you need to let everyone know you're wanting to deal? Closed mouth doesn't get fed.
True as well!

Taking a RB comments above…all in jest.

I honestly don’t see us grabbing one in the draft.

If JS can flip 32 to a couple of picks…I’m all in!

I thought the Cards have the #3 pick?
Yep. My bad! Read earlier that Love might not make it past them and definitely it past the Titans at 4.

Thanks for the catch..editing post now.

Look, some desperate but pick-rich team will trade for Milroe with their 1st and 4th plus next year's 2nd. With that, Schneider will trade that 1st for another 2nd and a late 3rd. So this year, we will have another 2nd, 3rd and 4th; on top of our own picks.

I’m anxiously awaiting Milroe’s development but, SOLD.

Have to take that all day 🤣

But he has ways to speak with the other GMs without having to say it in an interview. That's why I think Roster-Yoda is up to shenanigans..

Maybe even monkeyshines

I read it as a lot of #30-40 prospects are now hot names and moving up. Guys he thought were going to be there may be gone, preparing for plan B.

The reason John has given for trading back in the draft when he did it more often than not was that they had a certain number of players with first round grades and if they were gone he wanted to trade back. In a draft said to be week it's more than likely there won't one of their first round evaluated guys there at 32.
I’ve heard only 12 players with 1st rd grades this year, which is part of the reason it’s been blasted.

If John has an MO now, it is being very fluid, and taking the draft as it comes, rather than trying to force the draft he (or Carroll) wants. It is making moves that are consensus good ones, even if there are pundits who try to claim otherwise. No more head scratching drafts, with weird reaches and high risk gambles across the board.

I don't think he needs misdirection or mystery anymore, that was a total Carroll thing. Draft clues anyone?

I also think we are in a unique position where the obvious move is already obvious to EVERYBODY, and Schneider isn't going to fool anybody by pretending he doesn't want to make the obvious move.

There will be teams willing to jump into the 32 spot because its the last pick in the round and the last pick with the 5th year option.

I'd bet dollars to donuts that we find a trade partner at #32.

The whole world knows dot net is the authority on all things Seahawks, highest concentration of seahawks experts. Start talking up Milroe, GMs and executives around the league check in on dot net regularly.

Yeah, heard some speculations this morning on AM710 about that, including possibly Arizona or the Jets. Those would only move us down a couple of spots and wouldn't give us much more than a 6th or a 7th.

They were saying we might want to drop farther, like into the 35-40 range.

But of course there are a couple of guys we'd take if they fall to us at 32 as well. Like Trackhawk said above, JS is very flexible about how he approaches the draft. Could do most anything.
