Trade the farm. Who cares at this point.

Besides Lazaro and Locklear. Open up trades for everyone else. Literally. They've proven they can develop pitching if they have to do it again so be it, but this starting line up desperately needs new hitters. Proven hitters who aren't at the end of their career. Hitters that won't be destroyed by the mariners hitting coaches. Either that or fire another hitting coach. However many they have. It's a fake team and every fan should speak up. People shouldn't be supporting this. Worst offense in franchise history. They purposely don't keep the hottest hitters out there. Why support what's going on? Serious question, why support this? Helloooo?

I've been to one game this year, and the tickets and parking were free. Very likely the only game I'll attend the entire season.

The closer the Astros get to us after that ten and half game lead began to evaporate the more I lean toward NOT trading away any of our top prospects. If the Astros catch us sooner rather than later, I'd be more in the camp of obtaining a couple of rent-a players that fill in some needed holes and that don't cost us all that much. Our hope as a team is in our farm system, not FAcy. That's pretty clear to most everyone now.

I want this team to show commitment to winning in the OFF-SEASON, not some desperate move to appease the fan base as we approach the trade deadline because we just happen to have played in a weak division most of the first half of the season.

People keep going to games. Even after a garbage off-season people here were saying they'd still attend games because it's fun... Until the fans get in the pocketbook of the ownership by not showing up they're just going to keep taking your money with no care for the product on the field. This ownership is wasting one of the greatest pitching staffs in the history of the team.

Yeah, going to a game with your family or friends, what a horrible thing to do.
You can go to a game and still be pissed off at the same time. Sorry, not sorry.

It's your way to speak out. Why are you bitching to all of us then? Roll your eyes all you want but you have one way to force them to change...

Think about it, why does that make you mad enough to respond? I didn't call you out specifically. You called yourself out.

Thanks for the laugh. You're taking this shit way too seriously. Fan how you want, I'll do the same. As will everyone else.

Expecting everyone to stop going is hilarious, to me. News Flash: People like going to baseball games, it has always been that way, and it won't change.
Don't like it, cool. Stay miserable, you're doing it right.

Very good points. And not just the typical leftovers and/or FORMERLY good players. All on the hope that they'll somehow get their former magic back at the plate.

The team is leading the majors in hitters' strikeouts/per game.

WTF???

In yesterday's game, they left 12 men on base... and they stuck out 11 times... RIDICULOUS... WEAK... EMBARASSING.

Yep, the offense is a flat-out joke. But here they are.......doing NOTHING to fix it. Again. Why wait until the deadline? They need at least 2 bats, yesterday.

Yep. Until they actually do something, it's very safe to assume they'll do what they always do............settle.

I am not a fan of trade deadline pickups they usually don’t work out. The Orioles come to mind one of the best young teams with a deep minor league system if there was a team that would trade it would be them but I doubt they will

What sucks is how many teams in the NL are 4 to 5 games out, so they think they have a shot still. Makes for less trade partners.
I don't doubt they'll do something, just not enough. Hope to be shocked. I just don't get the wait til the last-minute crap, that's all.

Well you know this team's commitment to mediocrity is absolute. The hope games are over, now it's time for the team to do their usual and sink back into irrelevance.
