The Bengals will lose him after this season if they don't reach a deal. Besides he will be a disruption to the team if they keep him and make him play without a new deal. There is little likelihood they would get a 1st for him as they acquiring team is going to have to give him a huge deal, along with trade compensation.

Somehow doubt it'll happen but it is a nice thought as adding his edge presence would give the Hawks a-line that would need to be constantly schemed to protect against.

I can vouch for Riv, he is not on the crack rock.

According to AI:

"The Cincinnati Bengals' biggest needs are at defensive end and on the offensive line, particularly at guard, to bolster their pass rush and protect Joe Burrow. They also have needs in the secondary at safety and cornerback, and a general need to improve their overall defensive unit."

I can't imagine anyone we'd be willing to trade from our O-line group blowing Cincinatti's hair back. This would probably come down to draft picks and maybe a player they like for depth. Seems pretty flimsy to me.

I think Dorian Williams (ILB) could probably be pried from Buffalo for a player and a pick. They have a lot of guys there.

Nobody wants K9 or Nwosa. Yesterday yes, today no. And id rather keep the draft picks and build on what we have, which includes getting the last out of K9 and Nwosa before they're gone

Apparently the Bengals and Hendrickson have agreed on years and average salary and are just negotiating the guaranteed money. They just said it on the Bengals preseason game.

Not surprising.

It looked good for awhile, the idea of it, but I'm starting to fade on the idea of Trey now.

Hendrickson is under contract for 2025 at $16M. Hendrickson has not been tagged in the past. The 2025 DE tag value is $22.062M. Should Hendrickson play enough games to fulfill the final year of his contract the Bengals will be able to tag him in 2026, likely for less than $25M.

As a comparison TJ Watt was in the final year of his contract in 2025 for $21M. The Steelers replaced that contract with a 3-year $108M contract that has a 4th year option at $36M.

The Bengals can prevent Hendrickson leaving if they insist on keeping his 2025 contract and then tag him for 2 more years. Hendrickson has no leverage. The Bengals exist to make the team's owner money rather than to win football games. Don't expect the Bengals to undersell their asset.

I hope Bradford can stay healthy because Laumea is hit and miss. Haynes had a rough preseason outing against the Chiefs, and Cabeldue was worse than that.
Some are predicting Haynes may actually get cut.

Would love to see the Hawks get a bonafide pass rusher like Hendrickson or even Z Smith.

I think we should proceed with what we have unless a lop sided trade offer that benefits us comes our way. We are building something good already.
