BUT they were misranked.

They had to be since they lost to the lowly Seachickens.
Oh, they absolutely were misranked. So were we.

Why ESPN had our odds of beating the Chargers as slightly lower than Denver at this point in the season given how are two respective seasons are going, I never understood. I even said I thought we should be slight favorites (or at least toss-up territory, since it was a home game for the Bolts) in this one.

Slight might have been underselling but it's the type of wrong I'm happy to be.

I'm here!! I said in another thread this was as a pivotal game. I think this game could be the spring board to a Cinderella season. I was definitely wrong about Geno Smith and with the D making a near 180, these guys could win 7-9 games. Amazing feat considering this really is a rebuild year. Pete and John still have it.

The Seahawks are legit this year, which is the last thing I thought I'd be saying. I don't suspect we'll be Super Bowl contenders but I at least expect us to make the playoffs. The team is a bit too young and our linebackers do freak me out a bit.

This is a flawed team, BUT next season I could see us making a run with Geno if we hit on free agency and the draft. It's shaping up A LOT like the 2012 season. Though, I suspect if we make a run, our offense is going to play a much larger role this time around.

Where are the "BUT" crowd?
For the life of me i do not not understand WHY people dont view Pete Carroll as a brilliant coach. If he hasnt proved it by now, what does he have to do? especially this year and with every thing that has happened with Russ, i dont know what to say other than being surprised.I personslly really appreciate his efforts, he is not perfect but he has provided the 12's with years of entertianing football and i am grateful.

Question: how is your self righteousness any better than theirs?

You're not focused on the Hawks win either. You're focused on rubbing someone's nose in $h1t.
No kidding. Condescending self righteous fans who tell other fans how they should be a fan are the most annoying.

Here's a little secret, every NFL team is a flawed team. What do the Seahawks have that may help them get past their flaws?

Only reveal the truth if you dare!!!

I have a feeling you may end up on the 11-12 win bandwagon as the season heads into the station.

It is much more of a psychology-of-the-mind thing than a fact based thing. Many (nearly all) humans prefer to continue holding onto their truths even when presented with facts that counter the truth than to change course especially when they have limited understanding in how their worldview is constructed.

The ability to be flexible is learned, just as being rigid is. In the end it's much easier not to have to change a belief than it is to be open to that change.
