Wasn't that the one where we came back (at Home) against the Lambs and Hass and Engram missed in the end zone,. The fuse has been lit for next year with this loss.

At least Wilson made the plays to give us the lead, very impressed at how far along he is for a rookie.

We weren't anywhere as good that year, true, but it has the same feel. The expectations were to win the game we came up just shy in, whether the first playoff game in a long while, or this one. And we're looking up the same as that year, but a whole lot better.

That year was 2005 I believe. That season was a disappointment and we somehow managed to win the division against the Rams who beat us twice. 2004 was against the Packers and that was the best I ever felt after a playoff loss.

For me, this is the most disapointing post season loss (minus the Superbowl) for the Seahawks.

I'd put this up there with the 94 Sonics when we lost to Denver...

2005 was the year we went to the Super Bowl. 2004 we lost in the 1st round to the Rams, just as the OP said.

It was the 2004 Season... but date was Jan 08 2005.

It really does have the same feel, I agree, good teams, heartbreaking loss. With the same feel that they have the talent to go all the way and win it all, but just came up a bit short.

Hopefully like that team, next year will be the year to go all the way (with better results).

I actually really feel like the 2009/10 Green Bay Packers.

11-5, 2nd in division...Rogers was still young, absolutely crushing playoff loss (51-45 OT to Arizona) solid rookies playing for them (Matthews, Raji). And we all know what happened the next year...

That year is the reason that the Rams are still my most hated team... The 4th quarter comeback against the 'Hawks at Qwest, Alexander fumbling away a late TD to lose to them on the road, and that heartbreaking playoff loss... Thankfully they've been awful since, but I can't get over that season.

Agreed.

That game, even though we lost, you knew it wouldn't be long until the team was in the Super Bowl.. and it wasn't.
