The city won’t budge, and we will lose our precious Seahawks. The writing is on the wall. Book it.

And to those who say “but Paul Allen’s will says this and that” or “but the stipulations of the sale say this and that” you really think that’s going to stop some multibillionaire to adhere to the rules? They got to this point in life by skirting and bending the rules, finding loopholes to get their way.

Having the pleasure of attending NFL games in 22 different stadiums, Lumen is WAY up on the top of the list. I'm totally biased and would rank it first. Sightlines are perfect whether you are in lower bowl or last row of upper deck. Concessions are everywhere and very little wait at any time for beer. Scoreboard and replays are excellent. Sound is fantastic. As I type this, can't wait for my next home Seahawks game!

I enjoyed the stadium for the watching the game part. It was also nice to walk around it and the concessions were simple.

But, it is in the middle to bottom rank of getting to the stadium. That part is not enjoyable.

Sightlines, Scoreboard Replays - those are really good at many stadiums. Hawks stadium is one of the good ones.

Concessions - those are also really good at many stadiums. Hawks stadium is one of the good ones.

I don't really see anything that sets the Hawks stadium out as special as a fan going to the games.

The acoustic set up and how loud the crowd contributes to the game makes it very much special. It was designed to make it loud as hell down on the field.

While I love our stadium, I'm okay building a new one with a roof. There is just so much money lost with having a open Stadium during the winter time. I think sometimes as a city we hold on the past way to much and for way to long. If the new owner does build a new one, I just want it to be different not like the other cookie cutteer ones now a days

Grr. We need a constitutional amendment to prevent publicly funded stadium building.

The original vote barely passed (50.8%); I don't think in today's climate it would be close.

Also, according to the lease (according to Wiki), " First & Goal is responsible for all operating and maintenance costs, expected to be $6 million a year, and must keep the facility in "first-class" condition." So if the stadium is not a "first-class" experience, that's on the Seahawks, not on the taxpayers. Of course, that lease expires soon.

No, pretty sure he meant Stern as he is the one that helped Bennett steal the Sonics.

He was, but it was due to Nichols not giving him red carpet treatment, if memory serves he came to Seattle and Nichols made him wait for a time, did not send a car for him at the airport or have a representive there for him, and Stern took it as a insult, we were never going to win any arguement.

Totally disagree. Curious how you get to the stadium though. I always use light rail so maybe if you are driving it isn't good. Not sure.

Light rail makes it simple and cheap to get to the stadium. My only complaint is the wait and sardine like packed trains post game.

Totally agree about post game. We usually go shopping at Uwajimaya until the crowds die down. We have it down so that almost exactly one hour after the game ends the light rail is a more manageable crowd. We sometimes walk to Westlake also to let the crowds die down.

You know whats special? Before you go, you can walk anywhere and find a great watering hole, find great food, find a great gathering spot.. You have fantastic views, the Stadium has character, it doesn't look like a giant home depot that you may find in places like LA or other places. I've never had an issue about getting there.. its easily accessible via rail, bus, monorail.

You have fantastic views, the Stadium has character, it doesn't look like a giant home depot that you may find in places like LA or other places. Actually finding bars in the area that were not super packed was a pain. It was not easy to find a gathering spot, and it was not easy to order drinks or food because it was so crowded. That was the least enjoyable part of my experience.

Overall though, I very much enjoyed the stadium. (Especially since the Rams won when I attended).

The beauty is.. you don't have to go, but it's there if you wish.
