What does this shape up to be??
T2 to IR
The Diggs trade
Blair blowing up the spot
And Mcdougal coming back from injury
Amadi

Lots of potential for different packages back there. Let’s see how they balance the nickel looks with the All Lb package

It's completely up in the air due to health right now.

Diggs figures to play a lot of snaps somewhere once healthy but is still out this week with a hamstring so far.

McDougald has been a full participant coming off the back injury and so odds are good we'll see him at FS... but back injuries are slow recoveries and easy to aggravate. Lano was a limited participant with an elbow injury while Blair was a full participant with his shoulder injury. The least injured of those two on Sunday will probably play SS this week.

Ugo Amadi is the only guy not banged up but I think they'd like to keep getting him special teams snaps at the fill role and not rush him into the defense before he is ready.

I hoping we see a lot of big nickel when everyone is healthy. I like the Diggs, Mcdougal and Blair on the field at the same time.

I think eventually the secondary will be better with Diggs and Blair then what we've been running out there with TT and Hill......but it might take a while for them to gel and figure each other out.

I'd say no big deal, but we also don't have a pass rush to help this new safety situation, so we see some ugly games down the stretch with miscommunication issues.

I definitely want to see what this group can do on the field

That means he needs to be cut right ? I mean he isn't no Sherman and we were told was so bad he should not be on a roster last year. :)

Whats that change from last yr? He sucked and was slow last yr. Sometimes people try to make themselves feel smarter by poking the bear when no need.

I personally said he sucked and was slow last yr. True and true. I never wanted him cut as i like to let my players pan out especially 3 years or less or even 5 or less.

For the people who said cut him? They were wrong but for the people who said he was crap last yr? He was.

You just fought ppl who said he was sucking. Shaq admitted as much.

^^Its been said that he lost weight during the off season. He dropped about 18 pounds, so that probably played a factor.

Yes he was heavier, but he also switched sides, as I said last season you have to re tune your drops and turns a mirror of the other side and that takes time to get the footwork down to the point you are not tripping and or turning completely around which causes you to lose a couple steps. He has made those adjustments along with the weight loss.

But as you admitted you wanted him benched was a wasted pick when many others said give him time to adjust.

You feel poked good, maybe knee jerk reactions next time until you look at the big picture won't happen as often.

I said i wanted him benched? False. I also am the one who says give player 3 to 5 years to show what they can do at a position.

You were just always saying he is playing good which in reality was false by stats and by himself. I stated his stats and his ranking when you debated with me and you would argue he is good.

The reality is he sucked last yr and was fat. He admitted this and stats showed this. He was poor af last yr and some had to do with switching positions and skme was heaviness.

I never said bench or cut him.

Griffin is getting beat off the line, but his recovery has more than compensated. He won't get a lot of interceptions that way, but he is at least getting an outstretched hand on the ball with decent consistency. Regardless, It is all about getting the defense off of the field on third down.

The best thing about him is that he isn't any more "grabby" than any other competent DB. He is keeping the penalties down and pass interference is, by far, the deadliest penalty that can be called. What other penalty can give the opponent a fifty yard gain with first and goal at the one? Griffin's run support has been very good as well.

No. He's our best corner, and normally that means LCB on most teams.

I'd say if you can't even get one int from this pick happy QB you need to start investing in D-line and a new DC.
