Great stuff right here! 12th man seems to be moving to a whole new level nationwide...

"But it’s hard not to wonder this about the NFC playoff race: If Seattle wins home-field advantage, what team is going into that cauldron of sound and fury, CenturyLink Field, and winning a football game? I mean, the 49ers are really good, the best team on a given day in football. In their last two games in Seattle, they’ve lost by a combined 71-16, scoring one touchdown. Their backs have rushed for 2.8 yards a carry. They’ve been penalized 179 yards. San Francisco has been a hot mess in only one place since 2012 dawned—Seattle—and no one can tell me it doesn’t have a lot to do with the crowd."

While it's cool that the 12th man gets recognition...

Kiss my ass King! "[they are] the best team on a given day in football." "and no one can tell me it doesn’t have a lot to do with the crowd."

Yes the crowd is a factor. The standard Vegas adjustment is 3 points. The announcers last night brought that up and said heck, give the Hawks 5 points for home field.

BUT DO NOT DISCOUNT THE SMACK DOWN THE HAWKS PUT ON THE 9ERS BECAUSE OF THE FANS.

Going into the game this was the only detractor that was on my mind. I knew we were going to smoke the 9ers. The evidence was there plainly. But the fact that Century Link was soooo loud and having the world record happen at the same time didn't help gives the pundits ammunition to make their "Yeah but" statements...

Good thing they are "Idiots"

I got nothing against what Peter King has to say. But the Seahawks have to show the NFL community that they can win consistently on the road before those [yeah buts] go away. They had a good chance last season but let the Detroit and Miami games slip from their grasp. They beat the Skins, though some will say that RGIII deteriorating after the 2 TDs had something to do with their winning. The Falcons comeback, which would have been a history setting moment for the Franchise slipped away in 31 secs.

Our recently vanquished visitors from the south have been able to beat some quality opponents on the road, in the 10 a.m. games and evening ones. The more the Seahawks look all-world at the CLink, the more you will see the [yeah buts]. Texans and Indy are the next road games coming. Need to beat the AFC South both here and on the road to get some raised eyebrows.

Getting homefield just got a lot tougher with Okung being out for an extended period of time, if not the rest of the season.
