You are continuing to see what you want to see, and you are continuing to misrepresent my statements in order to justify it. That post wasn't even about Darnold. It was about why he's generally clean.
It's not about Darnold but it's about why HE is clean? Alright.

Point stands. He's clean because he's making reads so fast and getting the ball out. I'll stand by my take that you continue to downplay Darnolds role in all of it.

It's ok if people disagree with your take, no need to make it personal when it isn't

0 sacks on the night also. Darnold has been sacked just 9 times in the first 8 games. Pretty sure that has never even come close to by a Seahawks team ever.

I looked at the 2005 team. After 8 games with our HOF left side of the oline, Hasselbeck had 15 sacks. I doubt there was another Hawks team to even look up. Maybe one of the other years with Hutch and Jones. I doubt it.
The line is playing good, but Darnold is also making athletic moves to turn sacks into TDs.

He’s generally clean because he showers. Duh. 😉

Darnold was aces on his quick throws on slants and outs and such, but he had numerous plays where the line was protecting so well he was making sandwiches back there until the receivers worked open. And he was escaping when the pass rush started to close in. There isn't one reason why he kept "clean" all game. We needed all three things: decent protection, timing of throws, and his own escapability.

There are teams where it will be more difficult to pass protect against, but it wasn't the Commanders Sunday.

Funny how a QB that works well in the pocket, makes it easier for the line to hold a pocket.

I was vilified for pointing out that one of the big reasons we never had great pass protection with Russ was because his line never knew where he was going to be. Geno was better than Russ, but still couldn't step up and work the pocket like Sam.

so far, only Sam Darnold, Tom Brady and Johnny Unitas before him have pulled that off.
And too, Darnold was heaping praise on JSN and the other receivers on how they were catching every one of his passes coming their way in that first half of the game.

I was talking about the sacks not the offensive line. I explained in a couple posts later. I agree, Sam is getting the ball out quick and JSN is a big part of that too.

You're lying about what other people say and then trying to weasel out of it. I am quite within my rights to ask you to stop. Again.

Being wrong about a player is a very good thing, if it means he's balling out for your team. A little crow is good for you.
Shoot, I had to buy a crow recipe book for the Mariners this season.

He's mad because I was critical of him calling Geno elite. Whatever were all free to disagree with each other but no clue why he makes it personal and calls people liars. I literally said I think he's selling Darnold a little short in why we're successful and here we are.
Yeah. Not sure why this argument is going on.

There's really no point.

We should be celebrating the acquisition of Rashid Shaheed.

I'm just going to ignore it and move on.

I'm pumped for Shaheed! He forces people to move because of his speed and should help the run game too. This is a bigger move than many people think.

Back in March, I asked you to stop misrepresenting things I said (and you apologized for it).

Your own posting history reveals YOU have spent the off-season bringing up Geno and griping about our opinions on him long after we stopped posting about him ourselves, as if we've committed some kind of moral wrong and need to be held to account. (And you have the gall to invoke "free to disagree".)

Look at the third reply in this thread and tell me again I'm downplaying Darnold.

I then addressed a comparison of this OL to 2005's, and that's where you stepped in and called it something it wasn't.

So yes, this word-twisting is a pattern, which makes it intentional in my mind. But the sheer number of times I have NOT taken your bait on Geno over the off-season should prove I'm not "mad".

Future comms will be private so the thread isn't derailed.

This a great point that bears repeating. Sam's consistency, quick decision making, pocket skills and overall arm talent remind me a lot of Brady. If you made him wear a Brady jersey I wouldn't know the difference. Not trying to go overboard, but that's who he looks like to me. I hope I'm not wrong. Time will tell.

I saw a recent episode of Hawksblogger where Brian had Matt Hasselback on and Matt said Sam kind of reminded him (at least in demeanor and low-key leadership style) of Drew Bledsoe.
