I think the scheme and JSN's talent is doing a lot more to keep Darnold clean than this offensive line approaching 2005's quality. But that's not to say they aren't doing better than last year.0 sacks on the night also. Darnold has been sacked just 9 times in the first 8 games. Pretty sure that has never even come close to by a Seahawks team ever.
I looked at the 2005 team. After 8 games with our HOF left side of the oline, Hasselbeck had 15 sacks. I doubt there was another Hawks team to even look up. Maybe one of the other years with Hutch and Jones. I doubt it.
I thought it was more than that?Tied another record, team consecutive completions record of 17 my Warren Moon.
Yup, Geno & Russ shared a similar flaw...They held onto the ball too long. Sam doesn't have that problem.Perhaps the line is doing better in pass pro because Geno is gone? Or at least that is a part of it?
He's getting through looks quickly and making decisive throws.I think the scheme and JSN's talent is doing a lot more to keep Darnold clean than this offensive line approaching 2005's quality. But that's not to say they aren't doing better than last year.
He's still doing a lot of great off schedule stuff. Our receiver coaches are teaching the scramble drills well. He's getting through looks quickly and making decisive throws.
When he's gotten in trouble is off schedule stuff, like the int tonight
He's playing really well
Oh no doubt and I didn't intend to indicate otherwiseHe's still doing a lot of great off schedule stuff. Our receiver coaches are teaching the scramble drills well.

This is why I'm on board with trading for an upgrade over Bradford. It would be very disappointing if Schneider sticks with Bradford. It could be the difference between a championship and "maybe next year".They'll be doing better when we have 150 yards on the ground. Our RBs can do it if the line will open the holes.
Geno is gone yayPerhaps the line is doing better in pass pro because Geno is gone? Or at least that is a part of it?
Actually, that was just a bad throw by him. He's getting through looks quickly and making decisive throws.
