TNF is regrettable IMO. Just a few quick hits for why:
1. I work til 5 M-F, this just creates one more day I'm rushing home for a game
2. The teams never seem ready to play on Thursday.
3. My fantasy lineup is usually jacked because of TNF (I set my lineups Sunday morning - amateur, I know).
4. Less football on Sunday.

Football games should be played On Sundays except for the occasional Monday night game

You're against less football on Sunday that you couldn't concurrently watch anyways?

I too don't like Thursday night games, but truth be told, it's not like they're the NFL's first choice either. The NFL is forced to deal with idiosyncratic regulations that prevent them from putting games on Friday or Saturday. IMO the Thursday night games are making the best of a bad situation. I'd rather have them than not.

Have you hooked yourself up to the red zone yet? I plug into that sweet nirvana and walk around the house like a weak hospital patient overloaded pain killers & muscle relaxers with my IV drip on wheels.

^^^ :)

I'm kind of an outlier in that I don't like the RedZone. Basically I pick an early and late game that I want to watch in full, and then have a secondary and tertiary game each for the early and late game that I watch during commercials for the primary game I watch. Anything I wanted to see that I didn't get to see in full I go back and watch in the condensed version later in the week, which is great, but not as fun because I already know the outcome. In my byzantine and OCD-riddled system, Thursday night is one more game I get to see in full and in real time.

Interesting reading your responses. (Matrix shout out...)

Sure, Sunday feels better and so does playing at home, but this OP was all about my getting to see my team play again, on national television, and with just a few days in between. I'm going to be stoked about it because I think it's cool.

Not worried about beating the Cards as we have an excellent night-game record wherever we play. It doesn't hurt that they are very beatable right now. If there was a game we didn't want to play after four days rest, it is definitely not this one.

Go Hawks, gosh darnit!

The best thing for me is that I will be at the game today, and then also the game on Thursday! My first road game since New Orleans 3 years ago.

I love getting up on Sundays, as today, and lounge around and do nothing but think, read, talk and watch Hawk football. What a way to spend a day! By the time the GAME starts I'm so jacked up (coffee & hype) I find it hard to sit down. I've got family that comes over to eat supper with the wife and I, showing up around 1 PM, more than likely to watch and make fun of my antics during the game. Dead giveaway was 10AM games, it was family breakfast! Yes, I am a sick individual and you all on this forum represent my HAWKAHOLIC members.
Thursday will be like a 24 hr pass from the mocking members of my family and for this I truley appreciate TNF!!

Thanks for letting me share, HAD

I actually like Thursday games. But I like them much more when we are the home team. This is the second year in a row we have to play a division road game on a Thursday and that kinda sucks.

I hate when the Hawks play Thursday nights and Monday nights cuz I'm at work and don't get to watch. I do DVR it but it isn't the same. Also I hate that our team is getting screwed by having to travel 2 years in a row for the Thursday night game. One happy note.....I'm on vacation the Monday night vs. Saints game so at least I won't miss 3 games live this year.

Thursday night games rule

I know. Thursday is like a bonus game, right?

According to the TNF Wiki page...( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thursday_Night_Football ), the Seahawks have played 3 TNF contests and are batting .333 with both losses coming by way of the Niners. The 1-3 on Thursdays will change to a 2-3 this week.

Interestingly, we are the all-time leaders on Monday Night Football with a record of 18-8. It is easy to see why MNF games are better for a team's success because of that extra day of rest, and the one less day the following week does not necessarily hurt very much. One can see an issue with a TNF game, however, especially one played away, but this one comes after a home game, and is in the same basic longitude so no "body clock" issues.

To Absolut's point, a TNF game can (and does) create issues for teams. I just think things could be a hell of a lot worse for us coming into this one. I say we come out 6-1 moving into next weekend. :th2thumbs:

The 'very beatable' Cards now trail the Niners by 2 points in the third quarter. Care to revise your assessment?

I usually watch whatever college football games on ESPN and Fox Sports 1 on Thursday nights. They're usually way more entertaining then the crapfests the NFL puts on Thursday nights.
