The Cliff Avril Affect

Liked what I saw from Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett tonight. Pinning their ears back, with the 12th man in full throat, they did exactly what they were brought here to do.

The master plan keeps on keeping on.

Avril and Bennett are lightning-quick off the line. I want to see what they manage on the road, though.

True, playing in front of the 12th Man is like getting an extra half step off the snap. Hopefully it travels well.

There was a particular series, can't recall exactly when it was, mid 4th qtr I think, where Avril looked like he was possessed. He was blowing past his guy on every snap and causing massive pressure. It was beautiful.

According to all the experts last week, the Niner's had the best Oline in the game.
They said this game would be won in the trenches, and it was.
This defense is only going to get better each game!
They were dialed in tonight.

Man what a difference in having Cliff Avril on the field along with Bennett. It's about to get ugly when Clemons gets back up to speed.

Don't forget that Clemons, Irvin, and Harvin are coming up soon.

It was very rewarding to see what this defense is capable of with a pass rush tonight. Job well done to Bennet and Avril. When Irvin and Clemens get back....good God...

Add Clemons, Irvin and Browner to the D and I just don't know how you game plan for that.

Add Harvin and Michael to the O-side, while better utilizing RW, and this team has the potential to be an all-timer.
