I think he and Vrabel started a bit of a league mindshift. It used to be that you hire the next OC geninus, but two of the four HC's hired so far are DCs (Saleh and Hafley) and a third (Harbaugh) with a defensive background (though that was a long time ago). And some of the remaining top candidates are also defensive (Minter, Shula, Flores, and maybe Schwartz).
