4th string RT....

Sounds weird saying it. Not the best news I've seen today.
One thing is for certain , the .NET faithful who wanted Mr. Forsythe replaced at any cost are finally getting their wish.

This team will never reach any type of sustainable success as long as the offensive line is as sucky as they are now.
Maybe it's being in a new offense, new coaches, etc. plus not having the overall talent that other teams seem to be blessed with.

From NFL.com:

Jerrell is nowhere near ready to take an NFL snap, but his traits and athleticism might be worth a developmental plan. To be sure, Jerrell is a project. However, he should be able to improve as both a run and pass blocker with a year of technique work. He’s limber enough with good range to climb to linebackers or set out to edge rushers. Jerrell is unlikely to be drafted, but his tools might entice a team to bring him in for a longer look in camp.

Strengths
Possesses proportional, athletic frame with adequate length.
Former basketball player with good hip/knee bend and athletic movements.
Capable of setting to outside rush with good range in protection.
Traits could lead to rapid growth with pro coaching and development.
Weaknesses
Will need immediate tweaks to his technique as a run blocker.
Struggles to find proper positioning to finish blocks.
Small forward lean could make him prone to rush counters.
Needs to tether his hands and feet to improve pass pro consistency.

Jesus, why haven’t we learned to stock up on OL & DL? Without solid lines, your skill players don’t mean d!ck.
Ever since I saw Cortez Kennedy ruin offenses, I was convinced a solid D-line was game changing.
As I was fortunate enough to witness the greatness of Walter Jones, it was evident that a dominant OL meant you could do whatever you want on offense.
I’m feeling confident that MM believes that, I’m not so sure JS does.

How much stocking up can you do? 4th RT? Man I don't know any teams that have that kind of O line depth.

Who's backing up Jerrel in case he can't handle it?
There's literally no one behind Jerrell. They didn't elevate Jason Peters off the practice squad, so I suppose one of the backup guards like Christian Haynes or Sataoa Laumea will have to play right tackle if something happens to Jerrell.

Michael Jerrell is taking a big step from the Findlay Oilers of the GMAC conference to the NFL. It could be a little harrowing.
