Are people here claiming Burfict's hit on Brown was anything short of completely intentional and with an intent to injure?

Oh it was definately intentional but ive seen thousands of "hits" way worse than that one....he didnt even hit him helmet to helmet..it was like back to helmet.

Still dont see what Burflict did was so ejection out of the league worthy...it looked like he almost had his back to the WR when they made contact...wasnt as horrible as tons of people are making it out to be...I saw worst in Vikings v Packer first game when peppers clubbed Bridgewater over the head and then proceded to stick his whole hand inside the helmet and no flag.

that being said..I really dont care and I hope we win tommorow
Burfict has a reputation and people sort of latch on to that stuff. It was a dirty play, worthy of a fine, but not much more.

I don't think officiating was bad. I do feel that the call on Adam Jones gave the Steelers the game.

Bernard was a runner. He caught the ball and turned upfield.
Brown never caught the ball. Defenseless receiver.

I sure am not claiming that. It was no worse or intentional then the uncalled hit on Bernard though.

Exactly.

Steelers were playing past the whistle all night.

It was nice to see that the other team made sure there were consequences.

Sure, it might have cost them the game but it might cost some of the Steeler players a few games coming as they shake off the concussions.

Eventually they will learn that playing dirty results in injuries, if not long term side effects, for your own players and then maybe they will stop.

Shoot, Russ takes worse hits than that on a weekly basis that are never called. I bet Brown will have a "miracle recovery" from his "concussion" and be just fine for next week.

Refs let these guys get out of control, and their inconsistency with all of the dirty hits just added fuel to the fire. Steelers were constantly coming in late to ball carriers on the ground. Both teams were dirty, but only the Bengals were being penalized for it.
Timmons on nearly every carry.

I've always thought Burfict was more dirty than good. If he were a UFA I bet he'd get snapped up by Jeff Fisher in an instant.

I feel bad for Cincy fans, but the Steelers were the better team tonight and if they had lost all their fans would be talking about the next 8 months was that premature whistle that kept Pittsburgh from going up 22-0.

Burfict slammed his shoulder directly into the guy's helmet with a running tackle. Brown will have a concussion for sure and it won't be at all faked.

are we saying there is an nfl conspiracy to give the Steelers the win in playoff games?? And yes Brown will be back...that concussion rule is only for "some" teams...right Julian Edelman?

Wow, people here hoping players are injured? Thought that was against forum rules.

They deserved to lose. Players out of control and a piece of garbage coach that couldn't control his players or his own actions by not doing anything.

Oh they'll still talk about it.......
They still talk about a flag on TP in the 2006 AFC playoff game against the colts in which they WON, then XL* happened a couple of weeks later and the officiating was fine in dandy in their opinion.

Based on the reffing, I'm nervous about a potential Superb Owl rematch. I think we just saw the corporate orders.

I can't stop laughing. What a great ending to a horrible game.

I do agree with the Porter thing...Then again their fearless leader Tomlin is a burning pile of sweaty hot moldy trash who teaches his staff these things..The coach on the sideline earlier in the game should have been ejected as well...

KC vs. HOU

Felt like an 8-8 team beating up on a totally inept 1-15 team.

PIT vs. CIN

Felt like a 7-9 team edging out a 5-11 team in a cripple-fight for the ages. Granted, weather and injuries factored heavily, but what an ugly way to start WC weekend. At least the ending to the Cincy game was an all-time classic.

Can't believe the Bengals just gifted them that game. What a pathetic franchise... poor Bengals fans.
The poor Bengals fans that cheer and throw water bottles at injured players. I hate Rothlisberger and the Steelers but that is a classless move by them.
