While not hoping to be a jinx, the level of special teams play has surprised me.

I was in the dubious camp when they retained the coaching - it just looked bad last year, decision making, coverage - all of it

This is less about the kickers and more about the unit

They are playing fast, smart and decisive.

Positive impacts in both games

Strong pressure on kicks and punts, getting after it in coverage and showing some life on returns

Really hope this keeps up - very welcomed surprise

I have noticed the same thing and have been pleased. Plus they know the rules unlike the Steelers.

Just letting that ball sit there on the ground. Plus it looked like it even touched him. That sucker is live!

Nothing showcases the difference between pre-season and reg like the special teams. Remember just a month ago when people were panicking about special teams and how bad they sucked. Now that all of the bubble players are gone and they've all passed the cut and proved their worth they're playing pretty well overall.

It seems to me that ST has taken a higher priority much earlier in the off season this year: Bobo, Cody White, Rashid Shaheed.... ST was crazy good last season so maybe JS is prioritizing that core along with a core O and D.

Jason Myers is an absolute stud! He set a Seahawks record making SIX field goals in one game, then set a Super Bowl record making 5 FGs in that game! He's been nails this year and has been a big factor in some of our close wins.

Watching the ROKU Seahawks "movie" one of Myers first field goals that he made, he got really excited, and I think he was a little shaky early on, but then he got his mojo going and started setting records.

"Myers' night didn't end with him becoming the first kicker to win MVP in Super Bowl history. However, his 17 points on Sunday cemented him into NFL lore in a different way.
His 206 total points in 2025 made him the all-time points scorer in a single season, including playoffs, which surpassed Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson's incredible 2006 campaign when he scored 198 points in 17 total games."

"While Myers' makes weren't long kicks, earning points for the Seahawks amid an offensive struggle was monumental, and part of a great special teams performance from Seattle that included a number of field-flipping punts from Michael Dickson."
