Also, when he's running to the LEFT sideline and holding the ball in his RIGHT hand on a kick return? That's just plain unacceptable. That's stuff you learn in High School.
You ALWAYS want the ball in the hand that's closest to the sidelines. My out of shape a** even knows that.

Finding a new return man shouldn't be too difficult.

At this point, take a knee every time or run out of bounds. I'm being half serious, but my god. Basic fundamentals.

Exactly, the idea that player erros arent on coaching is misplaced. Coaching drilling, and teaching emphasis on the soecifics of a task make all the difference.

They are pros, and they are human. Players and coaches.
While there may be a relationship between player errors and coaching it is not a perfect correlation. Sometimes the talent you have available is not good enough or seasoned enough to perform up to par. It happens. The solution quite often is getting rid of the player who can't perform.

Footballs turn into rocks, cold weather makes them hard to grip also and the leather has no give to grip. Players that don't have naturally soft hands have a hard time.

True. And I would offer the benefit of the doubt if every aspect of the team didn't other than Mike's part didnt look undisciplined.

I don't recall the weather having much of an affect on Kene, I just got elevated from the practice squad, Nwangwu.

This

Today was as bad as it could possibly get, but it seems like every game there's at least one kickoff return against us that looks on the verge of going all the way. Our kick coverage has been very poor to put it mildly, and our return game has been less than stellar to say the least.

If I was MM, I'd be giving Harbaugh his walking papers after this performance. But it sounds like his job is safe, at least for the time being. What kind of message does that send to the rest of the team? How can they respect a coach who's as bad as he is at his job?
Don't you think that is partly due to the rule changes? This 'excitement' is part of what the rule changes are supposed to create. Fumbles are not a detriment of coaching scheme. But ball carrying technique is part of running back coaching responsibility. Seattle has been among league leaders in special team play. All of a sudden we aren't. Is it because of coaching or changes in rules? Rules are the same for every team.

Never had any issues with Larry Izzo. Jay Harbaugh is looking like he's in over his head.

There is a lot to like about Cessna .....................

Oh you won't get an argument from me about a Citation, my favorite "bang for your buck" private jet on the market (only need 1 pilot!!). But I was thinking more along the lines of...

Cessna 152

Leo Williams for #1 return guy.

I’m actually curious how many guys he could run over.

When watching other teams, it seems they don't have the kick coverage issues we seem to have on a consistent basis. So for me, that speaks to coaching and scheme.
