Every year on Father's day, I wish there was a game to watch. I appreciate the off-season and need a good long break from the week to week emotional roller coaster that is the NFL season. I like the fact that we have mini-camps and then training camp to ease ourselves back into the next wild ride.

Except just this one day..... the day where ostensibly I can do whatever I want and what I really want to do is talk to my kids (who can't always make it over) and sit and watch a game. I suppose I could re watch LX again, but I sort of know how it ends.

Any other dads out there feel the same?

Yeah. Sort of a somber celebration for me this year as I lost my dad to cancer last November. Still,....M's pulled out a dub and I dropped my jet skis in the lake for the summer
My condolences to you sir. I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer on my birthday 26 years ago so I know how it is.

This year I was fortunate and got to spend time with wifey, one of two sons, and one of twodaughters, son-in-law, and three grandkids.

I say that not to put a stick in the eye, but to acknowledge that this was a good year and certainly not the norm. Cherish the moments cause this is what life’s about.

Happy Fathers Day all.

I hear ya. My dad died about four years ago at the age of 93 1/2. Definitely shed some tears yesterday.
