Stealing from ESPN

"The Seahawks scored 5 points in their loss to the Buccaneers. The Seahawks and Rams are the only teams to have 3 games without a TD this season. The Seahawks totaled one such game from 2012 to 2015."

"The Seahawks' passing game was a complete disaster in the first half. Russell Wilson was 3-for-8 for 20 yards and an interception. He was sacked four times and could have had another ball picked off. The Seahawks scored just one field goal on five offensive drives as they went into halftime trailing the Bucs, 14-5."

"Russell Wilson was pressured on 27 of 45 dropbacks (60 percent), according to ESPN Stats & Information. The Bucs' defense had ranked 30th in producing pressure (22 percent) entering Sunday's game"

"Seahawks' 10 offensive possessions vs. the Bucs: 7 punts, 2 turnovers and a field goal."

The Seahawks leading rusher was Wilson with 80 yards. He outran Rawls by 52 yards.

Jermain Kearse was targeted 5 times and had one catch for 18 yards. Over the last three games he's been targeted 18 times with 5 receptions. His yards per target over the last three games has been a whopping four yards.

Kearse wasn't even the worst receiver. Lockett was targeted six times and had zero catches including a DB undercutting his route for the game-sealing INT.

John Ryan's punts (330 yards) went 50 yards further than Seattle's total offense of 280 yards.

Seattle's defense had zero sacks and generated only three QB hits on Winston. In contrast the Bucs put up 6 sacks and 11 QB hits. In the previous win against the Chiefs they had zero sacks and just three QB hits.

Lol bucs defense 30th in pressure. Britt's absence does not explain the OL losing individual matchups all game long. Assignment issues? Fine. Fant being beaten like a rented mule? No.

Ya you would expect breakdowns here and there...but not continuously getting beat on the edge over and over again. I saw a few plays where 2 guys couldnt even block 1..I mean FFS.....GTFO the field

Another stat: 1/11 on third down conversion.
Honestly, I'm still wondering why we can't find O-Linemen off the streets that are better. O-Line is a high turnover position in the NFL. There must be guys, who got released from other teams who can actually play a little bit better than what we got.
Didn't we let go of Patrick Lewis, who did a great job at center for us last year? Is it really a money issue?
I'm just shocked the type of conversation that goes on in our locker room/front office after such performances.

Well yes, that's exactly what it was.

They beat the Pats in New England two weeks ago.

They won their previous three games.

They're 7-3-1 and in possession of the #2 seed.

In 2013, when they won the Super Bowl, they also had a bad performance against a far inferior Bucs team. They also had a wretched offensive line/offensive performance in St. Louis and had an absolute stinker in a loss at home to Arizona in week 16.

They were 3-2 in December in 2013.

They then went on and won the Super Bowl.

So yeah, there's no reason to think it was anything more than just a bad game.

+1

On any given Sunday happened to us yesterday.

In past years, a loss would ruin the rest of my day... not now.

Strange that in a game where we scored 5 points, the stats would not be in our favor. ;)

It was a bad game yes but this Offensive line really really sucks and that dumb and I mean dumb decision to cut Lewis has haunted them all year he could play Guard or Center and they have needed a guy like him all year. Then there's the FO's WR debacle they had a great chance to get a good one like Robinson a couple years ago and they flat out choked. Joey Hunt come on man what the hell were they thinking there . Looking forward to Peterson taking over for Pete in a few years if they don't start getting smarter in the draft.

They need to put this one behind them and move on. We need that bye week desperately...

So Britt did not play huh? Did not get to watch, but painstakingly watched updates on my phone. Seems to me that on an o-line that has been suspect at the least, the best player on that o-line..especially when it is the center would be a double whammy. If he comes back next week then I would not be surprised if they fare much better, even against that Carolina front 7.
