20-20 tie game due to his missed FG. Not hard to compute.

GAME WINNING FIELD GOAL. 50 plus. That's pretty clutch in that moment.

And I just think he's above average. GAME WINNING FIELD GOAL

But, as usual, point out the negative instead of the positive. Which was.......a game winning field goal.

It's a lot like baseball. Mess up, get a chance to make up for it. He did.

This guy I trusted EVERY kick....Loved me some Hauschmoney..!!!

  • Steven Hauschka: A Seahawks kicker from 2011 to 2016, who had a career field goal percentage of 88.8% with the team, one of the highest in franchise history.

In his last season with us, his FG% was 89.2 - basically only missing 1 out of every 10 kicks.

That's a big difference compared to someone missing 1 out of 4 kicks this season.

Hauschka was money.

Yep, he was damn good. But nobody is claiming Myers is better. And the thread is about Myers, not former kickers.

Norm Johnson has a career 76% success rate on field goals. Kasey has an 81.9% success rate. Both are behind Meyers.
Norm Johnson has also kicked a million field goals you see that percentage goes down drastically with years played bud. Come on bud sniff some salts

Dude, the season just started. You think Myers is going to be at 75% the entire season? I doubt it. Quit cherry picking stats to try and prove your point. His career average is over 85%.

1) The NFL is a what-have-you-done-lately type of league. And lately he is below his career average. Players can regress from their career average. Will he miss 1 out of every 4 the rest of the season? Probably not but he won't make 100% either.

2) Since 2023 to this week, there are 17 kickers who are more accurate than he is. This is a good enough sample size to determine he's not that good.

1760075027671

3) Meanwhile the trend this season is that other teams' kickers are booming kicks from 60 yards with ease. Myers is on the downside of his career and his trajectory gives me zero confidence.

4) Last season, Seattle lost a game by 3 points, in part due to a missed FG. That one loss led to the team missing the playoffs. Is it all on the kicker? Of course not, but in tight games, every point matters.

Give Dickson an off season to train and a 50% raise.

Unlike our last opponents. He is not a kicker, who kicks a field goal that endangers the Side Judge.

I just don't trust him I'm not saying he's a horrible kicker, but yesterday when he went out there to kick that last field goal I was on the edge of my seat just nervous AF knowing he has a history of missing those types of kicks...

He's not a bum just a kicker that struggles, I believe it was Corbin that brought up he struggles in odd numbered years... 😂... I mean we could always see if Brandon Coutu available 😬... I know I've called for his release, but I realize it could be a lot worse...
Or Jake Moody :ROFLMAO:

Funny thing is that he made the FG and the Jags committed a penalty that enabled the Hawks to just kneel the ball 3 times for the win.

It's like the Jags planned this in case Meyers did Meyers things. 😅

BTW, I noticed that his last two kicks looked Straight down the middle for a change instead of knuckleballs.

Even the announcers were wanting Myers to keep that field goal 😂
