I am concerned that he was hospitalized immediately and will stay in Philly for the surgery, which sounds more like tyreek hill than Fred Warner. Tyreek has a dropped foot from suspected nerve damage. Hopefully Skatt doesn’t have that.

More likely, he has an open fracture, where the bone poked through the skin, increasing his risk of infection significantly. We admit these so they can get IV antibiotics and immediate washout surgery.

Also, Tyreek had a knee injury. This was an ankle injury. Very different risk to nerves.

Oh, come on. It’s classy that the Eagles personally delivered the waiting room full of Skattebo family and friends legendary cheesesteaks and their contender to New York style pizza. Even Cam Skattebo thought he would get drafted by the 49ers this offseason.

In his presser today, Kyle went from the effusively normal praise for the opposing qb to answering a barrage of questions about whether the Niners wanted Skatt and when. Loved him, Kyle said. He wanted Skatt in the third round. Skatt’s whole family thought he was going to the Niners, and if he had gotten hurt on that team, at least he would have his family around for months of recovery. He might as well be a niner the way the press corps is talking about him.

He has that effect. Everyone can see their favorite running back in his prime in this guy.
