Are the odds of getting tickets better online or on the phone?

I'd like to know the same. Was thinking I'd be on the phone and laptop at the same time. I wonder if over the phone you can call in early and sit on hold for a while or do the lines just open up at 1000 sharp.

Well, in regards to calling in there are some issues.

One, is you need to have the operator/CSR answer after 10:00am PST, if they pick up before 10:00:00am PST(say 9:59:55), they can't wait for five seconds until they become available and then sell you the tickets, their system will have them locked out, and they will ask you to call back.

So essentially their system has to see your call connected to a representative no sooner then 10:00:00am.

Now what makes this an issue is hold time, Ticketmasters ALWAYS has a hold que on days like this. Currently they are tracking at about 3-4 minutes, but as you get closer to 10 that number will climb, and since tickets sell out in minutes, you would essentially have to call at just the right time, so you can go through the que, and hopefully end up with an operator after 10:00:00am.

I for one am doing both methods, F5'n the webpage on ticketmasters(make sure you already have all your billing info and such inputted and up to date!!), and also trying to call at the same time.

First I had to cancel my annual fishing trip to Alaska this morning due to my messed up back.

Exactly at 10am, and it said ZERO available. What bull&$^#

Yup checked at 10 AM for the Saints and Niners game and didn't get jack, ah well. I still got my Season Tickets, but would've been nice to get possibly move down (or make some extra $ ).

Best available at 10:08 for the Titans game was in section 325 row EE... I think SF sold out in seconds.

But I got 3 tickets for the Vikings.

What a let down...

There's no way it actually sold out that fast unless they were taking bulk pre-orders from resellers. Looks like I'll be getting gouged as usual.

Not going to SF game is not an option for me.

A couple weeks ago my wife said, "Hey, I noticed the SF and Hawks game was on our anniversary. We should go to the game and stay in Seattle for the night." That's not an offer from a wife (crazed Seahawk fan wife) that I would ever pass up on.

I've got the hotel, now I'll be trading a body part for a ticket apparently.

Yeah, ticketmasters is doing shady stuff with resellers. I was literally using Ticketmasters own time stamp(only seconds difference), I was on the page, and in the search que by 10:00:03, at 10:00:12 when the page came up, it said "sorry no tickets available".

This is dumb....no issues in previous years(besides pages timing out and such).

Yep, a completely wide open search for ANYTHING, and ZERO results.

I was denied Niner tickets inside the first minute. Tried again for 2 within two more minutes, then got Viking tickets in the first try a minute later.

Have tried 8 straight years now, this was the first time in 5 years I've been able to get anything. I had me and 6 other coworkers trying for me right at 10am and one of the 6 computers was able to get tix. Lucky for me it was for the Vikings game . Just gotta bring my Seahawks gear and a box of kleenexes for the nosebleed I'll be getting, but better than nothin !
