He hasn't done jack this season. He had some decent production last year that might have justified a 5th of his salary, but his first year was a total waste, too. Now he's down again with a knee injury. He's the reason why the Rams could afford to stack 8 in the box and shut down our running attack, because any fill in the blank off the rack ordinary cornerback can easily cover Sidney one-on-one without any safety help. You'd think him and the DB were Siamese twins for all the separation that's between them.

That makes 3 straight high profile expensive veteran WR acquisitions in recent years that we've struck out on, with Branch and Housh being the other two. We paid dearly for those guys yet none of them came anywhere close to fulfilling expectations. Now do you understand why I'm so nervous about the Harvin trade? As Yogi Berra would say, it's like deja vu all over again.

So everything comes back to Harvin for you? Seriously, pick another topic.

Harvin wouldn't have done squat out there last night either. no reciever would when the QB has .5 seconds to drop back before he has pressure in his face... We need to start winning these games in the trenches and unfortunately until we get some guys back healthy this is what you're going to get.. I just hope wilson can keep getting up, because he's taking a ton of abuse.

I'm going to give chop chop a pass for his drop last night, but it's time to put on the big boy pants and go out and prove you deserve to be in there, this is what you wanted, now let's see what you do with it....

I disagree. I don't think the Rams stack the box with a healthy Harvin on the field. If they don't stack the box, Lynch gains 100, and if Lynch gains 100, it takes away a lot of that pass rush that caused so much havoc. Harvin wouldn't have had to catch a pass to have an effect on the Ram's defense.

With Harvin out there, we could've run WR screens to prevent them putting 8 in the box.

We shoulda been running rw screens anyways to tate and Baldwin I can think if only one quick throw to Baldwin that had ok success then we abandoned that.... As do the Sidney bashing all I can say is that if u like this team y dog a part of it that isn't the root of the problem

Kearse proved tonight why he is not the starter.

He got lost on one route and dropped a CRUCIAL first down where wilson literally placed the ball perfectly in his hands.

Not to hijack the point if this thread but has there been any info regarding Rice's knee?

I haven't seen anything this morning, all I found was articles saying his return in last night's game was doubtful. I'd imagine they'll examine it later today.

Yeah, Rice is pretty much gone next year if this continues. He's a good dude and a good receiver when he gets a chance at the ball from another offense maybe, but it's just not working out here. He's on pace for 462 yards for the year...and although I do expect him to surpass that, he's just not worth the 10mil we're giving him for this type of production.

We could have run those with Tate or Baldwin, but we didn't. Playcalling, playcalling playcalling.

Sidney Rice aka Zero YAC. I am so sick of this guy on our team.

I am pretty sure he suffered his 5th+ concussion yesterday. You could tell when his face bounced off the Turf and how slow it took him to get up.

my what short memories we have.
Rice's first year was a clear salvage pick up, we knew he was gonna have surgery on his shoulders off the top and that his first year was more or less gonna be a wash.

he has been pretty productive since but never quite true #1 status.

he'll take a pay cut but i'm not ready to chase anyone with pitchforks.

We ran one to Bladwin and it worked great, not sure why Bevell didn't go back to it. I have to assume we see a ton of those when Percy gets back, that what the guy is built for.

Is Harvin able to make the quick catch out of the back field that Kearse could not cause that's all we needed from him last night. Actually we need some one besides Tate to catch those balls, a TE that understands how to chip on his way out instead of littarly dodging the contact, and Mike Rob in the back field to help out untill (or if ever) our two starting tackles return.
