this was kind of cool. I’m told his teammates hate him but Wagner put Russ on his list 🤷

Walter Jones, Marshawn Lynch, Steve Largent, Kenny Easley.
That's close to mine but Tez would get the nod over Easley for me. Barely, but longevity would be the tiebreaker. If I could put 5 guys up there like Bobby, then Easley would be the fifth.

This topic has been discussed over and over on this site. Just like in the movie War Games, the more that Joshua went through the different combinations it realized at the end that there is no clear winner. And as far as in this case, there is no clear cut choice.

Largent, Cortez, Walter Jones, Marshawn and Sherm.

Russ did some amazing things while a Seahawk. But his last few years here, the selfish agenda and turning on so many key people is just too much.

You know I think this question is a little loaded because we did not set the initial baseline...what is your criteria to determine your four? is it best at their position? most impact? most impactful moments? and even the word impact is subjective...on field play? on or off field culture? etc.

It led me to research Mt. Rushmore itself to see why those specific four presidents were chosen.

"Gutzon Borglum chose four presidents to carve on the mountain, because to him they represented the first 150 years of American History. "

If we're going to pick people who represent Seahawk history as a whole, you could almost make a case for Paul Allen and Pete Caroll being 2 of the 4.

If you could pick only one person (to be only one of of four and the other three representing other parts of history) and/or player for the Seahawks SB winning team/era...who would it be? Pete? Russ? Sherm? Beast? Kam? Wagner? you could make a case for any one of those people.

Cortez Kennedy
Steve Largent
Walter Jones
Bobby Wgner

I could swap out Wagner for Easley, Lynch and it wouldn't bother me.

When I think about the Seahawks organization and it's history as a whole and truthfully, I'm someone who came on as a fan around 2005 when I moved to the Seattle-area and up to that point gave zero Fs about the sport of football.

My four:
- Largent - I never saw him play, but I know for what I call "the past" he represents at the largest scale for anyone somewhat new like myself
- Hasslebeck - represented the 2005 era more than Holmgren in my eyes
- Paul Allen - I don't think I need to explain this one
- Pete Caroll - For as much as anyone can point at Wagner, Sherman, Kam, Beast, Russ...through all of them...Pete is still remembered on the sidelines...running and celebrating, chewing his gum and also dropping to his knees and taking off his headset during the SB 49 Interception. He coached allowed their personas and their play to shine, he also was the one pointed at for SB 49 call. He cements himself representing that entire Seahawks era.

That's my four

Any list starts with Largent. Everything else can be debatable. :)
Walt is not debateable, above even Largent, who I agree is not debateable. Walt is in every conversation about the best ever at his position...and wins IMO. Largent was a top-tier WR, but is not the best to ever play.

Walt, Largent, Easley and Tez.

All life-long hawks at the top of their game during their eras. We have had several others that were at the top of thier game...but for me, life-long trumps and tips the scale.

If we did a poll of the all-time greatest seahawk, one player, it's def. debatable.

Largent is my all-time favorite Seahawks player. But I would choose Walt.
