Right before camp, that suuuuucks. Sounds like he'll be just fine, hope everything heals up without issue.

I'm worried about the severe concussion he suffered. Brain injuries can linger for a long time. Hopefully he'll be fine as soon as possible.

Best wishes to Shanahan, who suffered a severe concussion, a broken nose, a broken hand, broken ribs, and required over 40 stitches to his face.

The accident happened at the junction of Hamilton and Alma in Palo Alto; Hamilton is a 2 lane street that T on to Alma, a 4 lanes road where people drive quite fast. Speculatively, I suspect Shanahan was on Alma when some SUV from Hamilton T boned him, but he avoided more serious injury by having the passenger seat as a buffer.
